That was great. It's nice to get casual lovin' from time to time. And the Multiplayer adaptation at the end was much appreciated. I DID forget that Hooded Hydra was a snake (and by forget I mean "never noticed" of course).

very interesting build. admittedly, I've a very different snake deck I keep around for lols that was designed to capitalize on multiman games. It's a Green/White snake deck that focuses on ramping to control the board. It locks down my opponents with cards like Hokori, Dust Drinker, Shisato, Whispering Hunter and Nature's Will. Combine that with cards that enable untapping when necessary for you such as Patron of the Orochi, Amulet of Vigor and Quest for renewal and you have a deck that's always at the ready for combat. It doesn't handle board wipes well, but by the time you have both amulet of vigor and Hokori on the field, you usually have enough snakes to take down your opponents before they can get them out. If you're into being a dick to your friends but are looking for a way to do it that isn't the typical spot removal, burn or counter magic game a lot of people expect when you say you're playing a dickish deck, give it a shot. I wouldn't say it's faster than what's presented here, as I must reiterate that I designed the deck with multiplayer in mind, it is capable of beating face fast, as I have gotten Patron of the Orochi out as early as turn 3 with the deck. Def give it a shot.

Hey Wedge I thought you might want to take a look at a homebrew I made. It's a U/W control deck with Ensoul Artifact. Here's the list. 4x Ensoul Artifact 4x Ornithopter 4x Heliod's Pilgrim 4x Ordeal of Thassa 4x Stubborn Denial 3x Anticipate 3x Banishing Light 2x Suspension Field 2x Sigil of the Empty Throne 2x Helm of the Gods 2x Quickling 1x Battle Mastery 4x Darksteel Citadel 4x Tranquil Cove 9x Island 8x Plains It makes a great budget deck, even though Ensoul Artifact is a little pricey. The idea is to smash with Ensoul. Heliod's Pilgrim for Tutor. There is also a sub-theme of enchantments, it's kinda nice. If you want a full explanation just DM me, this post is long enough already. Jian Yi it's kind of a shame that i already built a different version of this. My only spells above 3 mana were 4 Mystic Snakes and 4 Collected Company. Subbed the rest with Lorescale Coatl and Lotus Cobra. Oh and I squeezed in 3 Ghostly Flicker. Individual creature protection, + flickering a Coiling oracle and Mystic Snake is soooooo much value.

I've had a monogreen snake tribal since kamigawa block and one of my favorite combos is tangle asp + lure to effectively wipe the board. Throw serpent skin on him and its game over. In a casual setting obviously its a house of cards.

I'd love to see a Casual Chaos Deck (effects that are entirely random, like random discard, or sorting into piles and randomly selecting a pile). Grixis (UBR), Izzet (UR), and Rakdos (BR) all work for the colors.

i have thrown scion of th wild in there also because if you focus on pumping snakes with sosuke summons and you have enchants to compliment Scion he turns into a power house plus all your snakes. My favorite deck

i'd recommend parallel lives/doubling season to double the snake tokens and snake basket as an awesome mana sink for all the excess mana youll make with seshiro's daughter out. as for other recommendations: how aboit some tribal edh? lesser played tribes like oozes, gorgons, atogs, elks, antelope...you know, the classics ;)

I attempted to build a tribal Green/Blue snake deck a few years ago entered around Lore-scale combo, but in the end it would have cost me too much to make and there were much better Snake tribal designs out there. VAMPIRES. Please. Seriously, Olivia Volderan, Rakish Heir, Bloodline Keeper, Stormkirk Captain, Vampire Nighthawk. Great cards with awesome synergy and surprisingly low mana cost and they won't break the bank. A turn 4 3/4 with flying, deathtouch, first strike, and lifelink is disgusting for just playing two different cards with 3 mana cost. Crazed Neonates and some Falkenrath Exterminators keep the deck pretty fast and are fantastic. I just made myself a vampire deck that runs very smoothly. PLEASE do this, Wedge. For the love of Heliod, Please.

Why isn't Lorescale Coatl in the deck? Not enough card draw? Certainly with Seshiro out and stuff like Brainstorm is what Lorescale loves. I run Lorescale and I have cards like Snakeform, Brainstorm, and Wildsize to beef him up in no time while endeavoring to draw into spells that I need. Spells like Kaseto, Seshiro, and Chameleon Colossus. The Colossus as a changeling does not fit that well as far as flavor goes but he's pretty ridiculous, that protection from black is very handy since so many removal spells are black. Granted he can be bounced, exiled, or I may even be forced to sac him, but he can get up into like 16/16 unblockable with Kaseto and Seshiro. Carnage ensues if he's not dealt with quick. I do run Nemesis of Mortals also which can get pretty cheap to play when Sakura-Tribe Elders and Wasteland Vipers hit the graveyard. But your right about lacking in the removal department. That's why I run Simic Charm to bounce big threats or give my creatures hexproof until end of turn in order to deal with spot removal. Either that or Snakeform to turn one of their big fliers into a puny 1/1 snake that I can block with a wasteland viper while drawing a card to pump my Lorescale Coatl. I definitely need to consider working Winged Coatl and/or Patagia Viper into the deck.
