Hi, can I inquiry a technical question here? I am using zte mc801A, the web admin interface is same like your video shown in 1:57. I found that when I re-power the router, I have to redo the process shown in 1:57, login the router and turn on the 5G. Do zte mc8020 got similar issue? or this issue actually can be avoided by settings

Hardly, my max also reach 250GB, and that's just from me alone, which is already considered quite heavy.

for the speed download sure can get high..but for the upload there come a problem..sometime 350mbps download but the upload only 50mbps max..if you are video creator or have any online storage for backup file this will get a problem

I do get high download speed however the upload speed is never more than 3Mbps. What's the problem? Whenever I watch people speedtesting U Home 5G they atleast get 50Mbps.

Same here but on the portable zte router

@@pirosz4538 I emailed U Mobile a bunch of times and they only reply "Restart your router". After a few months, they finally listen and fix it. Now I get 45-55 Mbps upload. I knew it wasn't my fault...

does this router will NOT AUTO REBOOT at certain times? i had ZTE MC888s that came together with the U68 home package with 2 years contract. It auto rebooted once in a while. longest uptime recorded was 14 hours. shortest was 2 minutes.

Whats the difference between modem and using phones to give out hotspot. The modems are quite expensive. Has anyone tested using phone as hotspot. Whats the speed can achieved?

On phone you can definitely get the maximum speed, but once you share out using hotspot, it will depend on how good your phone's WiFi chip is. A 5G router can connect more devices than a phone hotspot, and ensure better coverage at your home because of its more powerful antenna, and it doesn't overheat and throttle performance like a phone does, not to forget about battery issues.

Currently thinking to switch from fibre to 5G, but I have uncertainty on the gaming ping with 5G. I dont really look into network speed but stability. Please feedback and help me decide. Thanks.

Did you experience buggy software? Mine DHCP randomly fails, and 5G speed drops randomly. Need to restart when this happens. Using MTE8020 with Unifi Air 5g

@@dondolf MC8020 doesn’t have any external antenna. You need to diy. In my room put near window 380mbps-4++mbps. Outside house can go up to 500mbps. Download 50mbps the highest. This is test without antenna.
