In today’s video, I will give you my review of the Woodland Camo Assault Pack. This pack is just big enough to handle 72 hours of supplies, making it perfect for both camping and as a bug out/get home bag. The shoulder straps are well-made and large enough to handle this pack fully loaded. The body of the pack has attachment points to custom add pouches for your needs. The front has a drawstring pocket secured with a flap and two snap buckles. I feel this would be a good choice for the stated use.

Hi Blackie, i have that same pack. It's meant to attach to the CFP-90 pack which I have also. My Holy Grail is to find the Molle 3 -day Assault pack in M81 (God's Camo). Seen one a few years ago on Ebay, but they wanted a fortune for it!

I know what you mean...I have this pack, the CFP-90 and the MOLLE (1) 3-day assault pack...took awhile to collect these! Lol

Exactly right on the CFP-90! The MOLLE 3-day or just 'assault pack' is a great pack - I have several in different camo patterns but not M81 Woodland. When MOLLE was first being issued the troops were still wearing M81 BDUs so the first edition MOLLE gear was also made in M81. When GWOT came around the camo patterns changed several times - 3 color desert, 'chocolate chip' desert and finally UCP. To this point UCP pattern is the most common and plentiful in surplus gear. Now there's both Multicam, MARPAT and OCP Scorpion. So any MOLLE gear in M81 woodland is very rare as it is the first issued MOLLE gear. The munlticam, MARPAT and OCP are also very expensive in general. Best bet is to buy a very good condition assault pack in UCP and either dye it or just spray paint it in a woodland pattern. That's what I do. Chasing the patterns will only force you to pay more and then you hesitate on using it because of 'collector's value'. Don't go there! Good luck!

I have two Black Wolf backpacks for; one for travel and one for everyday use. I still prefer my minimum Alice Pack as you yourself know very well why, hey Blackie. All the best as we downunder head into spring.

The intended purpose of the zipper pouch on the top was actually a map case. When attached to the main pack that assault bag lays flat ( horizontal) as basicly the top flap of the main bag. I don't know that anyone ever carried a map there I just know that a thing pocket on the top flap is always called a map pocket.

I've got two of those with my cfp 90s. I put two rows of d-rings down the front side seams of my cfp 90 so I can cinch it down on the back of my 106 ci motorcycle.

Those are excellent packs...! - There are several versions of that pack. Some a liitle bigger, some a little smaller. I have one that has a radio antenna velcro flap in the top. Thanks for the video...

I have one of those, but I was at one point thinking of making it a Lid for a large ALICE pack. But, if I was going to rely on that particular pack for say, a Get Home aka a Bail Out Pack, I would do some mods to it, a back stiffener, some padding on the back. It would be ideal for Bail Out bag. It would carry Just Enough. It was designed with that more or less in mind, a Day Patrol Pack.

outstanding video..think that is a 1gen assault pack..2gen packs have molle and by adding sustainment pouchs on the sides and a waist pack on the bottom it will increase capacity for chow and other snivel gear...thx brother
