He sits here saying the same things that could be said about Russia, China and Iran. He speaks of corruption? The people in these countries have spoken out about their own governments and we communicate with their citizens now through social media. The ignominious departure from Afghanistan, the debacle in Ukraine, an inability to manage Israel in Gaza and now an opened ended war in Yemen has the potential of causing the US's global empire to unravel. This is the result of corrupt leadership, a complete lack of diplomacy and an industry that has the incentive for the creation of war...
@jeffstrehlow262310 ай бұрын
I'm not sure that they are unable to manage Israel. They can stop the war by stopping the supply of weapons, if they really want to.

Oh, and one more thing further to my comments below, the public couldn’t care less about loss of life, they care about money. That’s why no one protests about the loss of life in Ukraine, but the public are on the streets when their subsidies and benefits come under attack, like in Germany, France, Netherlands, Poland! The Western public loves virtue signalling, but has no morality if it costs them money.

Good questions from the interviewer. She asked for concrete examples. Sachs gave a reasonable answer but it does not go far enough. We need politicians to be named and what their connections are with whom. For example we know Cheney was on the board of Halliburton and Freeport McMoran (connected to the exploitationary Javanese regime in Papua). Where are the Biden administration and Congressional officials connected? For sure Lindsay Graham is connected somewhere. But it is not only the miltary-industrial complex. It is also the financial one. Goldman Sachs and various equity firms have a huge stake in this as well. This needs to be made clear.
