My uncle's would talk at family reunions. As a kid. And with respect...id ask questions. What was it like? He showed me his bayonet wound. " Got Hit with artillery....I got knocked out...and as i kinda cam around. I heard a voice say. "Don't Move." And face down...still in a weird dream like state. I could hear Japanese. So i stayed still. I felt a warm sensation in my shoulder. And as i lay there.....i slowly realized i had just been bayoneted. And was bleeding to death....thats when i heard more gun fire... explosions....i guess we were counter attacking.......and they found me. Still Alive. Apparently i wasn't worth a bullet. And i STILL have no idea....who tild me to stay STILL. I think it was an angel. .or God. So....your Dad says your going in the military soon. Make sure you listen....to everything.". He got the purple heart. And he had other wounds. He said he told everyone. "Im Polish....we only know how to Live. We don't know how to die........were kinda dumb that way!". Everyone laughed.

WWII. You can earn the ribbon. Expert Marksman. And because America had lots..... and lots of men familar with rifles and shooting......soon found they had Thousands of Expert Marksman. And while snipers are an elite batch of pros.....going back to muskets and sharpshooters. We could have more snipers.....in fact. Everyone who qualifies.....can request. A Sniper rifle...or scope...or additional training to hone this skill. Its why.... Saving Private Ryan ... Captain Miller had his sniper. Hes qualified...Hes trained...and why he gets a scope .....and you don't.

WWII. The German General......would walk out if his bunker....about 20 feet before going right....or left. Hmmmmmmm. And of course its heavily guarded. Yet.....if i can get to that one spot. Over there...or? Ahhh there. Hes a straight shot on...for 20feet. Thats about right...if i pull the trigger just when he starts walking. He'll walk right into my bullet. Great! That of course...will upset those around him a spell. My egress....must be perfect. They be looking....now. i can't get them all. So....i don't need the rifle. Ill get another. I got run ...to the River. That's...one minute. Then...across to the woods. Not there......There. My spider hole. I can wait out the search...or retreat altogether. That will depend on how pissed they get. Generals you know.
