Keep all that 7011 stuff to yourself. 😂 Being serious it was a waste of my life and certain jobs should have paid more and given full scholarships afterwards. A lot of people say that things sucked but they wouldn't change a thing. I say that they are stupid or liars. My time would have been better spent flying helos in the Army or ATC in the Air Force.

I witnessed them on December 7, 1941, from Aiea Heights, overlooking the famed US Naval base you Americans know as Pearl Harbor, as they valiantly performed a complete program of Handel’s Messiah uninterrupted by what was happening around them. It was a stunningly magnificent display of musicianship, musical excellence and prowess, mental focus and discipline, and a devil may care display of defiance to the attack and the attackers. When the performance was concluded, a rescue force of SEALS and the Blue Angels escorted them to the safety of Waikiki and the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, where they collected their medals and numerous salutations, celebratory messages and commendations. Needless to say, a performance worthy of a Super Bowl halftime appearance.

As a former member of the Drum and Bugle Corps I can honestly say we did not like being referred to as a band. In fact, there is a Marine band in Washington DC. The Drum Corps and Marine band from Washington D.C. get along well together. But, it seems that the field bands, that are on about a dozen different Marine bases have a major hatred towards the Drum Corps and anybody that's ever been in them.
