The rising interest rate can surely control inflation, but won't prevent erosion of the eroding purchasing power of the US dollar. I have learnt my lesson this time. The banks can't be making money off my money, while inflation eats into it. America is currently plagued by the hydra-headed evil duo of inflation and recession. The worst part about this recession is that consumers are racking up credit card debt. In April alone, credit card debt went up 20% while rates have doubled in a year. Inflation is so high that consumers are literally taking debt for basic life necessities. Collapse has indeed begun..

We Are in Unchartered Financial Waters! Daily challenges have become the new norm, and what we once considered crises are now routine. With the country's economy struggling, I want to protect my $680k savings and find ways to grow my wealth. How can I make the most of my money and secure my financial future?
@Infinitymazepa79202 ай бұрын
Keeping some gold is usually a wise decision. You would be better off keeping away from equities for a bit or, even better, seeking advice from an financial expert given the current market conditions and everything that is at risk with the current economy.
@hassankhaild94492 ай бұрын
You have a very valid point, . Initially, I began investing independently and experienced significant losses in the market for a considerable period. However, I eventually made the decision to engage the services of a financial expert, despite my initial skepticism. Surprisingly, I managed to outperform the market by over 9%. At first, I considered it a stroke of luck, but this success repeated itself for two consecutive years. As a result, I have since continued to rely on investing through a financial expert.

The US economy is already in recession. Any rate cut will not ignite inflation. The banks will tighten even more, all consumer and corporate credit lending. This is the beginning of a deflationary period for your assets. Stocks markets will decline, and stock values disappear in a blink of the eye. Businesses will begin layoffs in earnest which will soon be reflected in the unemployment rate and unemployment claims, to further solidify the recession. In fact, when the FED cut rates in Sept, it will signify that the Titanic is going under, and it will suck everything down. Retail and housing sales will truly decline as consumer hold off their purchases. The inverted yield curve will then turn positive, but remember, certain assets like stocks and Crypto’s acts as a hedge. Long & short-term trading is generally safer, allowing investors to weather market volatility. I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Adriana Jensen, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

Let the recession creep in ease the money out slowly when prices come to ground. That should be the startegy. It will be bloody. Many people will lose jobs and many companies will be weeded out but what will come after will be genuine and robust for next decade or two. Dont mess with the cycle of economy.
@samanthagaboo56102 ай бұрын
People are trying for months and months in the US and we can't get jobs. You apply and apply and apply and you don't hear back from anybody. Basically in the first month or two you apply for jobs that you're qualified for. Then it gets the point that you start applying to anything even if you're overqualified and you don't even hear back from that. So there are just not enough jobs for Americans right now.

This global downturn could have long-lasting repercussions. Given the current inflation rate of approximately 9%, my main worry is how to optimize my savings and retirement fund, which has remained stagnant at around $300,000, yielding almost no gains for quite some time.
