Well I prefer the original old U2 version of this song 🎶 quite frankly this one is rather emotionally boring he could be singing a tv commercial his voice is so bland

Of course it’s bland. His voice is shot. They had to transpose the key down and now it just seems like he’s turned it into a love song or - as you said - a commercial.
