U2 - Exit - Santa Clara, Live, 5-17-17, 1st row, Levi’s Stadium. Bono: This might all we have to say at the present moment... These few lines.
Other Tidbits:
Fans lined up over 2 days in advance for the show. Everyone in the ~50,000 stadium was excited to see them perform.
For ‘With or Without You’, Adam's In-Ear monitor was malfunctioning causing the first verse to be off time. Bono made light of the incident, encouraging the fans to sing while they sorted the issue out. lol
Bono (before In God’s Country): This might all we have to say at the present moment... These few lines… Desert sky… We need new dreams tonight.
Bono acknowledged many tech pioneers to the audience, including Steve Jobs (RED) and Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg, who was in attendance, along with Bono's daughter.
Before the show, the guitar techs let some of the young front row fans touch Edge's and Adam's guitar and gave them picks which was very nice.
The curfew was supposed to be at 10pm, but the band played until ~11pm anyways :P

I had to have been standing right beside you at the concert. This song more than any other is where I've been at in my head ever since I got back. This is Bono to the core! I was standing right where you were. It's nice to see Bono's eyes. Definitely a masterpiece. Thanks for bringing this U2!!

jimmy rrdd Think of how many shows they do. The real problem with exit is the same from late September '87. I saw them three days after he slipped and broke his collarbone. He couldn't play guitar so Exit was thin. Just like last summer he couldn't play guitar on it. He banged the strings just like Patti Smith played her clarinet. I've always thought they should use one extra musician, especially since Bono's bike accident. Not on all songs as you're right less is more with U2 live. Keys for some on Songs of Innocence. A violin here and there for some songs on No Line.....Horizon. My favorite they should do every show Miracle Drug, City of Blinding Lights and most importantly BREATHE

its about finally admitting that they're old and they can't be at the forefront of popular culture anymore. its an attempt to rescue their tattered reputation by reminding people that they used to be a great band.

They originally didn't plan on it. It was a response to the political climate since the JT album has political undertones, like all their work. They have a new album on the way and have been playing a song from it at every show.

total cash grab tour. u2 is a bad live band, they have good songs but cant perform them live with any power or intensity. it falls into bono's hands. bono cant perform unless he plays to a camera. he still does that weird elvis thing...they might be better live in a lounge or a very small club. bono still doesnt know what to do with his hands..30 years in and he still looks uncomfortable.

Baba Booey ive no idea what you're talking about. They are one of the best live bands. Maybe not anymore cause they're old, but if you watch shows from ZooTV or Elevation Tour it's obvious they are amazing live

paul, i actually went to the zoo tv show at dodger stadium, it was a gimmicky and the stage was too big for them. They have good songs but as a live band theyre one dimensional and flat.

You are the first person I have heard say that. Every account I've heard of the ZooTV Tour, Elevation Tour, Vertigo, etc has been nothing short of amazing. I've seen them live twice and they were incredible.

Baba Booey you went to ZooTV? I call bullshit. That tour is considered one of their top tours. U2 is known as a live band. I live in Texas and was in San Antonio this weekend and saw a guy wearing the shirt for this tour. I assumed he went to the Houston show and asked how it was and he said it was fantastic.

Pay attention...There is a group of trolls on the net. They are paid to do this kind of job..Pretending they like a group, start with saying that, and than next...,but...this and but that..Often the same person with loads of fake identities. And they are send out to only do just this..Don't worry..Do not respond on them. You can spot a real fan,and this one isn't the one you where looking for..they will appear on other video's of u2..Never respond,And don't be surprised no more, because now you know..And when the uploader can spot this kind of groups as well..he can remove that kind of msgs..It's not meant for discussion, absolutely not..They are not here to discuss..So AdmiralNeeda..just remove them.No harm done..This isn't about freedom of speech..That is not their aim..You can find them underneath Stephen Colberts video's as well..

It's a paid job, they probably have family, who haven't have a clue what they produce.Telling them they work at the office..Having children, who haven't have a clue who their father really is..Tomorrow they are trolling on the Israeli conflict..It's what they do..Like you have people committing animal cruelty.Child rapers..Not giving a shit about being human. So what is left over..well,that they are sad people..and yes,the wanking part is there too..

I am a U2 fan for 30 years now and was really exciting about this tour. But Bono is really screwing up some of the songs by the way he sings it like he did by Running to stand still. The spirit of '86 is not there. Putting a hat on is nice but dancing like an idiot is embarrasing. Keep it 'simple' but authentic, the music is already good of his own. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of Bono but some of the things that he does are disapointing and embarrasing......shame

LOL volunteer hours!! LOL the biggest farse of an answer you could give. you mean those hours and hours of attending parties with the rich and the famous. Oh how Bozo suffers having to go to 5 star hotels and restaurants. he suffers so much when he goes to hollywood parties and meets the rich and famous. Luckily, he doesn't use those contacts to make himself rich right? you know, he would never start a venture capital firm called Elevation Partners and use his connections he makes with the ONE campaign and all those celebrity parties to make early investments in companies like Facebook. he would never try to use his Silicon Valley connections to Apple and with top politicians to promote U2 or get more connection to help Elevation Partners. oh no, he is such an honest man who goes to soup kitchens and hands out food to the poor, right? Show me a single article from the last 10 years that shows Bozo or any of the clowns in u2 donating millions from their personal wealth to a charity for the poor. I don;t want money going into faux charities that are actually businesses that claim to help the poor. btw the ONE campaign as already shown to be a charity fraud. 90% of the money donated goes to administration to pay the salaries of Bozo and the other clowns running the fake charity. Bozo must have learned it from Hillary Clinton when he was suffering doing all that volunteer work eating and partying with the top politicians in the world
