I was 17 at that time, my love in Mostar and my friends in Sarajevo, me in Italy crying and singing all the time to the radio broadcast of the event I knew would turn out to be one of the most influential of the last decade of the XX century and one of the greatest concert of all times! Sarajevo will never forget this and neither will I.

Holy shit. The legendary Sarajevo concert. I read about it in the U2 biography and looked for a recording of it years ago but there was nothing, so thank you for uploading this. Bono may struggle with his voice, but his spirit is high. The atmosphere must have been incredible for this war torn country to enjoy a rock concert. To have fun, to sing, to dance, to simply let off some steam from their stressful day to day life. A special gig indeed.

Whoever recorded this, thanx a million times :) Good to remember this. I was there, in a crowd on a "lemon" side of the stage. This concert was a milestone for us in Sarajevo. A mark, that the war is finally over and that we're moving to better and prettier direction. We were so optimistic back then. How wrong we all were, proves situation in Bosnia nowadays.

I was there... I stood on the north side of the ring that was created by the flare lit right after Pavarotti´s solo on Ms. Sarajevo... It is to this day that I have not experienced such a surreal thing. The people that were there will know how much of an impact this whole concert was, furthermore them playing it with Brian Eno on stage... It is 1:46:25 when I can really see myself (my head at least) frozen on my feet taking in this energy... Thank you for posting this video. Honestly. Other songs that kicked ass were Bullet the blue sky, Please, and One. I have not been to their concerts before or after... It might just end like that... Deep bow boys...

Wow, Leo, I can't thank you enough for this upload! I remember this concert as it happened a week ago... I was there and I had goose bumps throughout the concert. This was an important step towards healing the war-inflicted wounds for all who have been there during the war. I can't thank enough Bono and U2 for this experience. My God, it was surreal... I still have goose bumps just by watching this. I remember the exhilaration of every single soul that was there that night. I also remember the part of the stands on the right of the stage was for NATO soldiers, and someone from that crowd filmed this video. Thank you, whoever you are! Peace to all and God bless!

Bless the internet lol. Back in the early days of my U2 fandom, in 98 or 99, I had purchased this on a cassette bootleg. And it seemed like the coolest thing ever, immune to the fact I was getting ripped off 😆 Bono soldiers through despite his bum vocal cords. You can hear the moment it totally goes out when he foolishly tries to get loud during New Years Day at 32:10. And wow, during Pride you realize how much Edge is capable of sounding like Bono when he puts a little steam into his own voice. Many thanks to the uploader!
