U2 - Walk On (Official Music Video) || My Reaction

Odd place to start with U2 and their massive list of great songs. This one is way more chill than many of their arena sized rock songs. So many other ones that I think you would freaking love.

U2 are as big as it gets, there’s no higher level. With that said, one could probably devote an entire channel to reacting and reviewing their enormous catalog of recordings and live performances and gain a massive following.

U2 might not blow you away. However, the closest might be "U2- All I Want Is You/Where The Streets Have No Name". It's a live show at Slane Castle in Ireland. Its probably one of the best transitions between two songs I've ever heard

Yep. That transition between the two has become legendary. He did it that whole tour & the video of it from the live Boston performance of AIWIY/Streets is also outrageous top shelf, if you haven’t seen it. U2 are my fav live band. They’re one of few acts that actually sound even better live than on studio tracks. The energy. The audience interaction. The creative song rearrangements. And they’re so innovative on tour. Many young people don’t know that a lot of things commonplace today on tours were initiated by U2. For example, the band was the first to pioneer the use of a B stage on tour. They also were the first to integrate pre-recorded video + live video & massive screens thoroughly into their set lists (which now seems so ubiquitous & obvious, but they really were the first to do it). Simply LEGENDS.

U2 With or Without You or One are 1a 1b of their best songs.

U2 is a typical live band. The live performances are so much better than the studioversions (except for the song Unforgettable fire). I suggest you react to any song from the live album "under a blood red sky" in their earlier days (1983) or a song of their live album "live at Slane Castle"(2001). They have so many great song: "new years day", "The unforgettable fire", "Bullet the blue sky", "Kite", "Bad", "Sunday, bloody sunday", "until the end of the world", "Gloria", "I will follow ", "One" , "So far, so close", "Miss Sarajevo", "eleven o'clock tick tock" are some of them.

If you asked any U2 fan to pick their top 20 U2 songs, it'd be rare to find one that would put this tune on the list. It's a nice song, but not one for a first impression. Check out "The Fly," "Bullet the Blue Sky," "Mysterious Ways," "One," and the Elevation tour in Boston version of "Where the Streets Have No Name."

This song would be in my top 10 of 20 U2 songs.I love it Specifically for the fact it gave us that beautiful 2001 Madison Square Garden performance. Every time I listen to it, I think of that.

U2 pre 2000 and U2 post 2000 are two very different animals. They have written some of the greatest songs of all time in One, Bad, Where The Streets Have No Name, With Or Without You, I Still Havent Found What Im Looking For....all pre 2000. Check out some of them, if youre still not impressed then U2 are not for you.

@@TheGabrielAmerican I love ATYCLB....it might be my favourite U2 album but I can appreciate for the OG fans that they generally see a distinction between the bands sound and career pre and post 2000. Still plenty of great songs post 2000 but most of the bands classics came earlier.

'Im not blown away'... as a huge U2 fan... I don't think Walk On is supposed to blow anyone away. It's just a good song. Not everything has to be Bohemian Rhapsody.

I actually requested this song specifically because I spent 1 hour straight watching their performance of Walk On from 2001 at Madison Square Garden. Only performance that’s better than that is the Super Bowl Halftime show of Where the Streets have no Name( best U2 performance hands down), IMO.

The live performances of this song are much better because they use it as a tribute to 9/11 victims. The outro is my favorite part.
