There’s 1980’s music then there’s U2’s with or without you. A timeless track. Go back and listen to the music that was released that year and compare it to With or Without you, it’s like nothing else that’s ever been released before, and nothing has been released like it since. It’s timeless. You could never put a year on it, it doesn’t sound like anything else The Joshua Tree the album that this was on is a masterpiece Try U2 One another classic from them

Great reaction! To really get the nuances of this band, you need to check out some live performances. No studio recording can capture the spirit they have live. Start with All I Want is You/Where the Streets Have No Name at Slane Castle in 2001.

They started out a Christian band when they were 16 years old . Larry Mullen. “Bono “ Michael Husson , and the “ edge “ have been Christian most of their songs have religion interwoven in the lyric .

The Edge usou nessa canção a famosa linha , Infinite guitar, uma guitarra elétrica modificada e criada por Michael Brook, um sistema onde permite que uma nota seja mantida com sustentação infinita, na epoca ele tinha criado uma para o Daniel lanois, um dos produtores do The Joshua tree, e a outra pertencia ao The Edge, o qual ele usou na gravação dessa canção! Hoje se usa muito esse efeito usando por exemplo o E-Bow!
