Luna is amazing. My main mixing console. NOT my tool for writing though, that'll be Studio One and Reason depending on music genre. But for mixing, just wow with the built in strips, summing and tape emulations. I own the Luna Pro bundle.

But all jokes aside, I shouldn't talk. I haven't dropped my album yet because I have been waiting for the PERFECT setup. I just got my 128 GB physical RAM 4k resolution Lenovo laptop via UPS today. Setting it up now. I just got my Lewitt RAY mic....I can hit crazy notes without distortion now nor too much microphone technique. and I'm setting up this Lenovo to be the t*ts and the sh*t Master DAW: producing, recording, and mastering finally all on one maschine with PA, Waves, and Acustica Audio plugins on 4x-8x Oversampling per plugin via Pro Tools. Once LUNA goes full release, I'll check it out but I got Pro Tools with POW-r2 audio engine summation (analog af sound) withhhhhh PA, WAVES, and Acustica Audio (with Sominus A/N Console real analog sounding warmth) to do what LUNA does more integrally. So I am no better than Yish. I just like to troll him honestly. I'm getting ish together too and I'm about to download AA WINE with my Sunday newspaper coupon for 35 percent off for being a loyal customer to Acustica Audio.

It downloads no problem for me but at the start up logo..it scans some uad plugins then it disappears. Just wont open!

check the UAD forum, there is some tips on getting through that, something about checking the logs to see what plugins are causing issues and temporarily moving them from the folder

I bought the pro version because I see the potential, and if I was an audio only guy it probably has everything I could want, but being as I work with a lot of vsts. This is barely useful. So I’ll be making my music in different software, but I’ll mixing it in Luna.

They'll get vsts and vsti working better for windows before the release candidate, the one main issue I'm concerned about is multi-out vst, it's not implemented yet, not even on the Mac.

And yeah, I'm the same, I create music and attempt to do mixing myself, and while the midi implementation in LUNA isn't half bad, it leaves a lot to be desired.

There's very little reason to care about Mixing in LUNA, because you can just get plug-ins from elsewhere and they sound great. The big draw to LUNA is the workflow with UA hardware, but on Windows it isn't as good with that... so... There is just too much missing. DAW market is saturated, and there are a number of options that have low prices with low or no running upgrade costs that do not come with LUNA's deficiencies.

@@iTrensharo​​⁠I think the summing is where I care. Studio one has a certain feature and I’d be curious if someone could do a side by side. Setting that up with a typical plug in is annoying because you have to put it on every track instead of just the busses. So I think that is a draw to me.

Hi; After 30 days, does Luna become completely unusable or are some of its features unusable? Can we record with the vst files we downloaded after 30 days?

What remains after 30 days is, of course, the LUNA daw, and the Oxide tape, Shape, and ARP plugins. The rest will expire and need to be purchased to continue using them.

@@Yishinyourear I am very novice in these matters. I had previously installed FL studio without knowing that it was a trial version. I did a lot of work there. But after the trial period expires, I cannot access those studies. It's quite annoying. The reason I ask about LUNA is to avoid getting bored again. By the way, is there any chance of accessing old works again with LUNA? So can FL studies be converted somehow?

Stumbles as in crashes... it is a beta(buggy). Distort? Driving it too hard, perhaps. The oxide tape is loaded on every channel and the user isn't gain staging properly they may be driving into the tape too much.

Too bad you didn't show how to actually install it. 🤔 I couldn't open it on UA Connect. It shows installed, but it doesn't open - an error keeps popping out about "one of the plugins couldn't be found". It seems to be referring to one of my 3rd party plugins.

Unfortunatley this is the nature of Windows at play, different pcs components and O)S setups can cause conflicts, I didnt have any issues installing it.

check out the UAD Forum under the Windows Beta for Luna, there are a few having this issue and there appears to be some workarounds until the bug is squashed.

200 bucks for two 8-10 year old tape emulation plugins. These tape plugins are not the shit anymore. There are plenty of other good tape plugins out there. Uaudio still lives in the past. The market has moved on long time ago … Luna is already a sluggish clumsy overpriced dinosaur on windows compared to reaper

Luna looks nice but it has a looong way to go! At least on the Windows platform. I've been using Reaper since V4. I've tried many DAWS and at one time was a die-hard Sonar user. Simply put Reaper is KING. It just works and it's stability is second to none. Reaper is the best DAW for me.
