It is definitely a business expansion and I'm sure the demand is there. UAD is no longer a niche product line.

I still need vst3 versions to run in Cubase/wavelab/KOMPLETE KONTROL and Maschine in Apple Silicon mode. I have this beast of a computer but have to use rosetta.

I got a bundle but sadly they are unusable because of the dreaded blurry GUI that no one really knows how to fix. Shame. I was really looking forward to using them.

The only thing that will work is using the older versions. There were only a dozen or so plugins that are compatible with anything older than Catalina. None of the newer plugins work on the older OS versions because they were made after the fundamental change had already taken place.

Hi Matt. Thanks for sharing this. UAD is stepping up their game. I have quite a few UAD plugins with my Apollo. I had a question. If there are some plugins in the Mix Edition that I do not own, would it make sense to get the Mix Edition since there's about 14 plugins I don't own and the $559 (minus a $50 UAD coupon I have so $509 divided by 14 comes to about $36 per plugin which is still a good deal...thoughts?

Hi Matt. I have a package of plugins that came with my Apollo Duo, plus some plugins that I purchased. For me to use these native plugins without Apollo (on a PC where I use another audio interface, for example) do I have to pay for each of them again? Or is it possible to use native plugins, the ones I use with Apollo, at no cost? I would really appreciate it if you could explain it to me. Thanks

If you have spark, you have all three of these plugin bundles already, apart from the waterfall reverb hammond plugin, pretty much. So I'll be sticking with Spark for the time being. Question, will UAD make their entire range native to purchase individually?

Correct. Same plugins as what are in Spark (plus Spark currently has the 1073 as well). I expect they'll port the bulk of their catalog, but I think that's over 200 plugins, so it will take a while.

and never own a single thing. in a year if the subscription stops being paid for whatever reason, all your projects using their stuff will be deemed useless. i cant even fathom people renting a plugin lmao

Hello Matt, I'm on the UAD Spark Subscription 3 Month Paid Trial Period That Ends Feb 27 though I may cancel before when the $20 Sub Starts because I'm considering one of 3 new bundles. As we know the Spark Subscription requires UA Connect, Question, Does the New Bundles require a UA Connect? Oh by the way I have The Apollo Solo Hardware.

I don't really know about the billing side of things, so I can't help with that, but yes, the new native plugins utilize UA Connect for installation/licensing.

Other than Online Installation/Licensing, So does it require the UA Connect to be Connected to the Internet to use The New Bundles Native Plugins in My DAW? Im new to UAD Plugs and just recently got the Apollo Solo. So I'm getting different conflicting stories on the UAD Forum.

You need an account, but not an actual iLok. It'll do cloud authorization.
