both pretty awesome drones but IMO I love the snapper. I know the aluminium can bend but i would prefer something I can bend back into place vs it snapping. Snapper 7 link - bit.ly/Snapper7 UR65 link - bit.ly/UR65drone

I got both the UR65 & snapper 6. The UR65 is my pick. I have snaped both the UR65 easy to glue back in shape but you need a new frame for the snapper. Plus indoors less chance of damaging the house with plastic.

I think the main comparison is between the Snapper6 and the UR65, but most of the comparisons are still relevant. The Snapper6/7 I've heard bends really easily, so hence I got the UR65
@RikkTheGaijin6 жыл бұрын
Why you didn't compare the UR65 with the Snapper 6 instead of the Snapper 7? That's not a fair comparison, since the 7 is bigger...
@AllDarkAngel6 жыл бұрын
I have the Snapper 6 and the UR65, l prefer the UR65. For some reason the range on the Snapper 6 is alot less than the UR65. Could be just down to a deffective reciever. Also the Snapper 6 is 2 grams heavyier in micros every gram counts. An for some reason the UR65 flyies alot better maybe down to it being slightly lighter.
@stevensoquelknight376 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for doing this video!!!! One thing I do have to say though is that this isn’t really a fair comparison as they are different sized crafts with different motors and most importantly different sized batteries! The snapper7 has a way bigger batter.

For the UR65 I also recommend the stock inductrix 4 blade props, the motor have more torque to drive a 4 blade. And the performance is noticeably better. Don't use the rakon version of the 3 blade prop, not only it's more expensive, but it have less thrust and punch.

I have the snapper 7. Keep in mind it is a very good little quad however it does break quite easily and motor wires come off as well. Know I would still get it however in my case i bought extra hoops or extra frame . I also got a few extra motors as the original ones had the wires come off after a few crashes. Both of those quads are a blast but you will break stuff. So in my view buy a couple extra things so you don't have to wait a month to fly again when it breaks.
@jdnic16 жыл бұрын
Put the tbs 20000kv on one of these! Specially the UR65 since it's already lighter. Also the stock motors on these flies better with the 4blade stock inductrix motors. I definitely recommend them over the 3 blade.

I was wondering if you could compare one of your micro indoor quad builds, to something like the snapper 7, and maybe throw some thingiverse indoor quads into the mix since you have a 3d printer, maybe a what you would build or buy today sort of a thing, would be very interesting to compare them on power, stability, price and things like that.

How do they compare to normal whoops? Reviews were so non descriptive. "Flys good", etc. How does that help?
@SohanMeegahage6 жыл бұрын
The fact that they use brushless motors vs brushed on most whoops. Brushed motors have much shorter life times and you will be replacing them much sooner and more often. Also most of these brushless tiny whoops have better throttle response and power etc

Different motors are on the UR65. The snapper 7 has the next size up and spins a different prop. So it would be under powered on a bigger frame. Flight controllers are the same tho, so you could buy the slightly bigger motors but they arnt cheap. Plus you would have to buy the bigger batteries, qould not be worth it.

Stu, great job but you forgot to discuss something really important. Can you share your thoughts here on this issue: people will definitely be flying these around their living room and bed rooms and so on in their house. They will definitely be bumping into furniture, lamps, plaster boards, wooden items etc. In that scenario how will the aluminium vs the plastic compare? I would have thought the heavier aluminium frame, being much harder, would be far more likely to mark the things it runs into than the little lighter plastic frames. So in the really common setting of flying around inside your house, wouldn't the UR65 be a much better choice given it's far less likely to leave marks or dints? It's for this reason I think I'm ordering the ur65 vs the snapper. Plus that aluminium bends so easy, while the plastic just bounces back in place, it seems more durable as a result. Thoughts?
@leela13126 жыл бұрын
Andrew Gray you could also get the boldclash 75mm frame for the snapper7. Costs 3€ and is very similar to the ur65 frame, just upscaled.

@Illuzionizhere6 жыл бұрын
Hey stew! Do you think the esc's etc on the QX65 could handle an upgrade to the brushless motors of the UR65? It's a great little drone but the brushed motors pale in comparison to the Snapper 7 (which is also an amazing drone and great to learn on). As a side note, since my snapper 7 only came with one battery, I soldered an adapter that takes two of the 250mah's of the qx65 and plugs into the larger one of the snapper. The result is a longer flight time with a bunch more batteries that can be used in both crafts, so I say get both! Anyway, Thx!

It's like comparing a hummingbird to sparrow, yeah, they are both birds,that's about it...lol The difference between the motors alone is significant enough, with the UR65 having 603-17000KV and the Snapper 7 having 703-19000KV, these are simply just not in the same class. *However, Both Quads Are Very Good, so I say, Get Both!
