Stu, please start your own goggle company and sell them for those that want to join the hobby! Current brands are poison to the hobby, sport and most importantly the fun. They prevent this hobby from growing. I consider you the unofficial ambassador of fpv. I wouldn’t be shocked if you started your own company down the line. Fpv goggles is the best place to start. It’s because of your videos that I got into the hobby and learned how they work, how they are soldered and put together, that gave me the confidence to make my own. You should profit from selling your own goggles, but don’t rip us off and sell them for ten times their worth like fatshark is doing.

Sry I gotta say I stopped what I was doing at work when I got this notification. I was super excited at how excited you were in the bench review. Heartbroken after the field testing. But a step in the right direction. I’m on a budget and can’t afford an expensive frame/goggles. I’ve got a $99 build sorting in a shoe box... waiting only for some goggles (refusing to use box goggles). This may be what I need to get in the air before making a commitment to a more expensive pair?!

Luke Holland Me personally I voiced my opinion, but your asking for real advice. I'm new to the hobby in the last few months, but I fly around people that have knowledge. I wouldn't buy these, might be a good looking deal, but product description is lacking when some eachine ev box's actually will stated true diversity. For $88 I'd take the risk on some ev100 before these. I can at least say for $100 you get the feel of a teleporter v5 with antenna diversity which is better that the v5. But I've own 5 pairs of goggles an wish someone would have told me save up an do it right. Vison is everything in fpv...I own fatshark dominator v3 with a furious module and LOVE them...should have saved up an bought some fatsharks,skyzones,aomways in the beginning...best of look, happy flying
@FonkyOG7 жыл бұрын
Thanks to all. I’ve been looking at the EV800’s. I can’t seem to bring myself to buy box goggles as my first pair. I feel like they will be too heavy/bulky. I’ve never flown anything FPV, only ever LOS with DJI gear, so I also don’t want the large commitment of a top 3 (top 2 most likely) goggle without any prior experience. ... seems as though I’m destined for box goggles for now though 😝
@FonkyOG7 жыл бұрын
Drone Hero's I’ll give them some more thought, as it’s clear a “wrap around” style goggle isn’t going to be available at a decent price point any time in the near future. Cheers!!

I am new to fpv. On a really tight budget. It's hard to find decent products to get started on a tight budget. Stu, I bought a Eachine E013 for a mate who is interested in the hobby. He loves flying the drone but can't focus on the goggles. Cal had trouble with these but Trev was ok with them so they might solve his problem.
@CopterPirates7 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure any screen marketed with a 960x240 res is just marketing BS specifying each RGB subpixel independently. Sometimes also written as "320xRGB" x 240... So in other words this goggle has just quarter-VGA resolution of 320x240.
@Pilotgeek7 жыл бұрын
I wonder if the goofy resolution is the result of having to split the image between both eyes? Maybe it's two lcd's side by side that they are calling one large one? As you say, likely some marketing BS.
@CopterPirates7 жыл бұрын
Yes you could be right that in this instance it is two 480x240 screens and they thought 960x240 sounded better. Actually upon further tought that would make more sense as the goggle is marketed for having dual displays.
@KrotowX6 жыл бұрын
The worst thing is not the half of frame missing, but that overall picture have awfully low resolution. These screens are good only to catch invisible branches. Why not 854x480? Or at least 640x480?
@SimRacer1017 жыл бұрын
That was pretty much my conclusion exactly. They are SO close to being a great beginner option. But the huge pixels are just a deal breaker. In my review I was surprised, I had to measure it, but in an open area I got 330 and was crystal clear. I was using Raceband 5 and the antenna that came with the Eachine VR-D2 goggles. If these were $20-$40 more expensive but had a reasonable screen resolution they could be a total game changer. Please don’t enter me into the giveaway. I may end up giving mine away as well but I want to see if something can be done to fix them. Stay tuned.
@tiberiocellini36417 жыл бұрын
Are they better than the EV800D?
@Allamut29097 жыл бұрын
I don't see how they are better. True diversity there is very questionable for this price and form factor, you can't use them as stand out screen and you can't watch movies on them too :D
@Blowfeld20k7 жыл бұрын
@Allamut2909 LMFAO who would want to watch movies on a 800x600 screen lol. Which is the stock res on high end headset googles, its lower on the lesser models often by half. If you have a Headplay or a Goggles two yeah i would watch the odd movie maybe ...... But no one is dense enough to watch movies on a 800x600 screen son ... LMFAO Stop using spurious nonsense to try and big up your own purchase choice.

I don't need these goggles myself, but they would be great for my high school's STEM club. I recently built a quad for them and when I told them about FPV, they were very interested. It would be nice if you could test goggles using the stock antenas at least for the first flight, so what you are testing matches what a buyer would actually get for the price. Then switch to better antenas and mention whether it makes a difference in reception (and the total price when taking into account replacing the antenas if needed)

Wow! I'd love a pair of these goggles! I've been wanting to get into the hobby for a couple years now and just haven't been able to fit goggles into my budget! I haven't flown a drone yet but these would totally get me off the ground!

The SJ-RGO1 goggles would really help because I’ve just got into FPV racing but I haven’t managed to get goggles and this would be a huge help for my drone during flights!

Stew, I'm waiting for my study scholarship that's due in about a month so that i can get into this hobby and buy a quad.....can't wait...Been drooling over Quads for last few days now and have seen almost all of your videos...And believe me, these are sooo good and are the definite reason of me getting all interested in this hobby....Getting goggles would be of so much help to me

Stew, I'm a college student on a tight budget. I really want to get into flying fpv but money is a big obstacle right now. I watch your videos to learn as much as I can until I can afford some hardware to start flying with. I'm saving up for my first drone now. I'll have money for that in the next couple weeks. Still gonna need a transmitter and goggles. I have a drone app on my phone to help get used to flying but I know it's not the same as the real thing. Winning these goggles on your give away would be a huge step towards taking my first flight. Either way, I enjoy your videos and have learned a lot about the hobby just by watching. Keep doing what you're doing!!!

The only two variables that I could think of a side the channel, is either than mw output or which antennae you guys are using on your quads

I haven't gotten into the hobby yet, specifically because it's a little expensive. I'd love to build and fly my own, so it would be great to get this to get started.

It would be my way in into the hobby. I've ordered FPV goggles once, but the order was cancelled and I've been waiting the right moment to buy a FPV quad after I get the goggles. I hope it'll be mine!
