i think uber needs to add in a warning to passengers. if a passenger states such a deactivating situation, the passenger should be suspended from using rideshare as well until the investigation is complete. this serves a few purposes. 1. if a passenger is playing games, they may think twice about submitting a complaint if they know they are full of crap 2. if a passenger is 100% sure that what happened happened, they will deal with the 3 days and know they are right. 3. if a passenger is vindictive, they may go for it anyway, but if they lose, they are banned from using uber for a year. 4. within the warning....if a passenger submits a claim deactivating the customer, they are charged 50 percent the daily average of the drivers earnings for the 72 hours the driver is on suspension. if the driver wins, he gets paid. if the passenger is legit about their claim, they do not pay anything. this one simple thing, will discourage passengers from being scumbags about false claims. this also saves uber money as well, since uber will not have to pay for the time involved with the research as much.

I agree but will never happen. Lyft deactivated me because a doped up 4.62 rated rider said I used a racial slur when in fact I cancelled the ride because they had to many people for my car and one was a small child with no car seat

There are plenty of drivers who barely speak English but still main a 5* rating because they go out of their wait to be helpful and don't project a bad attitude.

The success of a driver is when the driver gets more money for less miles. Not LESS money for more miles. Pass it on.

The pay isn't worthy of buying a dash cam. Lyft wants to pay $25 for a 35 mile ride coming back empty for minimum of 13 miles. You end up driving 50 miles for $25. I declined 3 airport rides. 2 rides where I could see the the mileage is way more than the pay. It's not worth it. I'm guessing there's that many people out there that can't do simple màth, and are accepting the rides.

Do you guys still believe these guys are not bought by Uber/Lyft? About 4 days ago, MA has agreed with Uber/Lyft to pay drivers a minimum wage and provide benefits. Zero mentions from Sergio. What do these guys mention? A lawsuit that a driver lost, which made news 1 week ago.

@@JADED1620 where? Can you point me to their video? I have seen one where Sergio was blasting on MA voters not to vote these benefits. I have yet to see any video where they state that MA and Lyft/Uber have agreed to minimum wage and benefits for drivers

Really. I dont buy it. Do I agree that there are fraudulent complaints sure. A single doesn't deactivate. Some complaints made do require you to be maybe suspended. And there's a process for it. If someone complains too often. And gets complaints against. They hold less weight. You really have to get complained a lot to really be so pressed by these companies. Im sure these guys are happy to sell you a dash cam too.

uber deactivated me from getting any promotions except the EV incentives last october. no quest, no boost. because i did 81 rides in 22 hours and they thought it was fraudulent. they ddint take away my quest pay for that week, but ever since then....havent been getting one. my driver rating is always above 4.95 to 4.99, never been suspended or suspected of anything in the past and active for over 8 years, except one little love letter that told me "declining rides to certain areas is against the law" over 2 years ago. and when i went to appeal it or even find out why i have no promos but every other driver does....they said "they couldnt tell me" and the only way i found out, was someone at uber that spoke english in the states actually hinted it to me, but still never directly told me why. im still an active driver mind you, but they do some shady stuff and offer no reasons why they punish drivers. so could a single complaint deactivate....YES, and also NO. i think the TYPE of complaint matters. these days teh "racist" word gets thrown around a lot for no reason and no meaning. but companies bow down to these claims like scared mice instantly.
