Simon, I can’t thank you enough for posting this video! I had a broken screen from my lovely dog biting on the corner of it while I was away. I use my laptop for work so it was an urgent matter to get it fixed. Every place I contacted, they wanted to charge a lot of money and worst of all take a week to do the work. I found this video, ordered a screen and tools on Amazon, and completed the job in an hour and a half with success! This is truly a helpful video with how you break it down step by step from start to finish. Thanks again Simon!

This video is amazing and I was able to successfully replace my cracked screen. Thank you so much but I have been using the laptop for a couple weeks now and noticed the keyboard backlight isn’t turning on anymore. I tried resetting the SMC and contacted Apple to help me fix it and they weren’t able to and now I’m going back to you to see if there’s anything you could do to help me with this please.

Hi, I have two stripped screws due to previous repairing work. They are located at the cap / cover / bar over the connection between motherboard and display (you mentioned it should be T4, 4:45). I think there should be ways to get them out by brute force, but how can I find replacement for them or do I need the cover necessarily at all 🙈

A few of ur replacement recommendations don’t come with brightness or backlight sensor for the keyboard. Which one do u recommend that has that? A1932

Good video. But I was looking forward to the start up and the display working. It’s one thing to change parts, but another thing to demonstrate that it works. Would have liked to see the screen powering up and looking good. Left me guessing whether the job was a successful repair or not. Thanks for all you did do though. Very helpful. One comment on another site said the new screen has to be calibrated to the logic board, don’t know whether that is true or not.

Great video, thank you. Really clear instructions and our MacBook screen is now repaired with a refurbished Apple screen 😊. Only differences for mine (A1932 model) was that the display board screws were T6, and the new board already came with the brackets attached.
