WORLDS LOUDEST TURBO SPOOL IN A TYPE R!! PRL MOTORSPORTS TITANIUM INLET PIPE INSTALL FK8

In this video we go ahead and install a 2017+ FK8 Honda Civic Type-R Titanium Turbocharger Inlet Pipe Kit. Chad from PRL hooked us up with a good deal on this clearance item inlet pipe. We take her for some rips and even give it some Hondata Anti-Lag. This car also has a flex fuel kit installed running E30, a PRL Catless downpipe, stage 1 intake and is tuned on Hondata.

Always amazing content!! I bought my 19 Type R new last April! I have had some health problems and haven’t been able to get out a a whole lot!! I have Only 2,800 but have enjoyed every mile!! I bought aftermarket 18” wheels and tires and tinted windows!! I plan on keeping it 100% stock as far as power mods!! But I do love seein the power you guys and many people online make with mods!! I have the PRL HVI and it sounds amazing. I’ve been wanting to buy the inlet tube but every time I try to buy it it’s out of stock 🤦🏻‍♂️ Along with being a larger diameter, the titanium doesn’t absorb heat as fast as the stock aluminum one does. I have the PRL intercooler and charge pipe kit as well. It’s all really quality stuff. I have a catless DP On order. As soon as I get the DP I’m going with Ktuner (my preference). Nice ride and great videos man. I love seeing people so their own work I do my own work also.

The heat wrap is personal preference honestly. The titanium inlet tube doesn’t absorb heat nearly as much as the stock aluminum piece. Additionally if you add a turbo blanket you will cut down on a lot of heat as well. This inlet tube paired with the PRL intercooler will reduce intake temps so much over stock the added benefit from heat wrap would be negligible when compared with stock. Besides, that inlet pipe looks too nice to hide lol.

@@Uberlight2 if you sit and really think about how anti-lag systems work, it's not hard to see why it causes damage to a turbo. You're basically causing the combustion to happen when the exhaust valves are open. All that heat and fuel is being burnt up inside the turbo to force it spool. Most turbos are not designed to handle that type of heat and pressure

I would get in the habit of disconnecting your battery before you start unplugging things. Especially on newer vehicles, your asking for issues if you accidentally short something even if you think it’s not hot, most sensors have a 12v constant that’s always hot

A turbo car does not need backpreasure - an NA engine needs exhaust scavenging but thats up to the header....after the header you dont need anything Whoever told you backpreasure was good lied to you
