47:50 I like Kangmin's rant here. I'm a Taiwanese currently living in a relatively low crime area in California but I'm frustrated with how little coverage the media is giving regarding Black on Asian violence in the cities. What's even more frustrating is so many Asian activists constantly fight against Trump's "white supremacy" instead of focusing on what's literally hurting our community.

As a Ubisoft employee, I can attest to this.. It's rotting from the inside and started well over 10 years ago. HR > Production/Developpers. The whole company is infected with postmodern thinkers. I was told years ago that for candidates of equal talent, they hired women and under represented groups.

I'm going to make a wild assumption that many weren't actually of equal talent and just filled a quota.

51:56 I like how "It's not realistic" is often used as an excuse to cut out things they don't like, such as the female warrior's bikini armor in Dragon Quest 3, which has been censored in the recent remake. "Bikini armor is unrealistic because blah blah blah." If realism's the problem, then Dragon Quest wouldn't exist in the first place because fantasy isn't realistic.
@G360LIVEАй бұрын
I think bikini armor shouldn't be in a video game, because bikini armor is unrealistic. Now, here's a giant enemy crab...

If we're serious about applying for the Ubisoft thing in Toronto, I've been gaming the system there for years so here are some tips. It's illegal to discriminate for inmate traits for hiring, which is why HR doesn't perform the discrimination. Instead, the AI which reads through your online application does. Plausible deniability. The Ubisoft thing will use the same AI, but will be blatant about their discrimination. Either way, our method is the same. So: Copy paste their entire posting into the footer of your Word doc along with every woke buzzword you can think of. Then, hide that text. The AI will still pick it up. You're now checking every box for the ideal candidate. For online checkboxes, select 'other' and 'female' for everything. During your interview say it was a mistake. But even still, since HR isn't privy to the AI's machinations, your file will merely tag you as high priority without saying why (that would be illegal). So they won't reject you for that 'missclick'. If you're a young man trying to get into a trade (Canada uses hiring quotas) you should do this as standard practice. You will receive callbacks in like, 24 hours as opposed to 2 weeks or not at all. Again, I've been doing this for years. Play their game; beat them at it. Cheers.

It's a pretty decent selling series, considering there are 15 titles going back to 2006 with the first being a DS release. That was a big problem when they started with digital media. A lot of the younger generation was all for it because it's instant gratification and they don't have to get up & go anywhere. They don't realize the implications that you don't actually own the digital media. You're renting it until they want to take it away.
@Coconut-219Ай бұрын
Weird all those zip installers / executables / digital 'CD keys' from the 90s / 2000s haven't magically deleted themselves from my drive yet. And even if the company that distributed them went out of business they still run & can be reinstalled on any new computer. Sounds like a software implementation problem not a technology limitation problem. Honestly the term "physical media" probably needs to go away because it's so narrow minded to essentially say, for example: "you are only allowed to buy vinyl records" - when "new" paid or free digital distribution methods like bandicamp or some other 'first-party' distribution platform has no issue. GOG is basically this for videogames. Implement it like that going forwards, problem solved.
@AaRoNaNtHoNy80Ай бұрын
@@Coconut-219 read the liscencing agreements on digital media. You don't own it, you're renting the liscence to play games and movies. It's already happened to the game "the crew" and Sony Removed many already purchased Discovery shows from the playstation store. Due to liscencing issues. That's all it takes. Everyone that "bought" these shows lost their money and will not be able to get a refund.
