What's up I just got medjay and I'm struggling to get any sort of flow going with him, can anyone give me some tips in how to improve with him?

If you are struggling with 1v1 then just stick to axe mode and just play off dodge forward pressure, his dodge forward bash/ dodge forward zone is pretty much unreactable and can also lead into chain and his unblockable finisher is difficult to react to. In terms of teamfights just be very aware of all-guard characters as they will try to all guard every single unlock dodge attack or zone in staff mode. Generally speaking medjay is more of a disabler now than his previous form which had the most insane hitboxes known to man. Now he's very good for peeling for allies and initiating ganks with his staff mode bash. If you have a teammate that knows what he's doing you can bring most characters down to 25% health with a single good gank. Be very aware of spamming the bash though as it's very easy to react to and feeds a lot of revenge, Ideally wait for your teammate to force the opponent into a read like a dodge attack or something then go for the bash.

Definitely pay attention to a lot of what Kaziq said, if you need anything else I’d say to not be scared to use your staff mode in 1v1 situations against certain matchups, and to understand some more of the strengths and weaknesses of each stance. Also the chain light vs bash of Medjay’s axe stance are great catchers if you notice a pattern, but since his bash is a combo extender it’s usually a better option.

@@kaziq8035 That's pretty helpful thank you homie, I tried playing him earlier kept getting against good players and I found myself clueless throwing random stuff and generally being defeated pretty easily I'd say he has so many options and little things you can do with him that when it comes to actually remembering or using any of them in an actual fight I end up struggling to get a good fight going on haha
