There’s something about Egypt that captures our imagination, and sense of mysticism. It’s dark, it’s harsh... but it’s beautiful. The musical score is something wholly it’s own. It doesn’t quite feel like a traditional ac game but that doesn’t hurt what it is. Byek is an amazing protagonist. You connect with his pain, his rage, and his humanity for people in need. There's just something about Ancient Egypt. For me, it's the sheer sense of age. Cleopatra was born closer to Pizza Hut being founded than she was to the Great Pyramid of Giza being built. Ancient Egypt spanned an almost incomprehensibly vast period of time that makes our heads hurt just to try and understand. We know so much about it and yet it still remains almost unknowable. This great civilisation that stood for thousands of years in one of the most inhospitable terrains humans have ever inhabited, that flowed and changed constantly and yet remained itself-it's incredible.
@thetruthseeker31982 жыл бұрын
They were integrated and in touch with aliens for sure. The powers that be know this but they won’t admit it to the mass public. There’s a theory that they built the great pyramids with vibrations that could completely reverse gravity, that the blocks were floated on top of one another through sound/frequency vibrations. Even in the game when you activate the ancient mechanism you are told that your reality is just your perception of reality, and it suits those in power to keep you under illusion of that perception, even though it’s just a storyline I think the developers were also trying to make the audience think too, as there is a lot of truth to that back then, and in modern times.

Choosing the most unlikely explanation is not being open minded, but jumping to conclusion. Moreover, we have proof that they were able to do it. They have built tons of pyramids and proto-pyramids before the great pyramid of Cheops, which permits to evaluate their progression into pyramid building through centuries. At first they were mastaba, then step pyramid, then the bent pyramid that was a failure of smooth-sided pyramid and finally the red pyramid (first smooth-sided pyramid). We can witness that it took centuries of trial and error to master pyramid building.

That's not the only reason. Ezio's family are descendants of the "Hidden Ones", or more specifically, Aya. She created a Hidden Ones base in Italy after assassinating Ceasar and stayed there for almost the remainder of her life. When she died, she was buried next to Bayek in the Qattara Depression. It all comes full circle in the franchise. Aya and Ezio's family share the same blood and the same burden.

@@Fullmetal85 Ezio *cannot* be the descendant of Aya. If you would have played the game you'd know that her son Khemu literally died. Aya then left for Rome and probably came back, but I am quite sure that they didn't raise a child ever again, but what Aya and Bayek did raise was an ancient brotherhood. Well from Odyssey we know that Aya is distant descendant of Kassandra and from Leonidas. If Ezio is really a descendant of Aya it'd be from Aya's sibling.

This is one of the absolute best game soundtracks I've heard. It's up there with Skyrim Elder Scrolls. The emotion conveyed in each track, from the calm to the vigilant, is so purely portrayed. The depth of each instrument is so beautiful, too. And the vocals are mesmerizing. I seriously love every song!
@anisslouchez73544 жыл бұрын
this game was incredible and certainly thanks to the first music which immediately catch you in ancient egypt. The music catch the mystycism which surround this period and this country. It's like an invitation to play, it really peacefully catch you into an other world. First time I heard it I was telling to myself... ok what's this!? I let the music just to hear where it will drive me. And finally I heard cello, certainly guitarre (with distorsion), chorus..., it sounds familiar and it links to the present. In the same time, the work on harmony is relaly detailed, looks (or maybe hears) like egyptian/oriental music. It's smart, smooth and in the same time really dynamic. with a good use of silence in the start, in order to present you each theme, and then they progressively all enter in the music, producing a wonderfull mix. It's probably one of the best music about egypt I heard. It's really an amazing job, and I almost never say it about a film or a video game OST. To Sarah Schachner, you are really one of the best composer in this world!

I absolutely love Origins and now eagerly waiting for Mirage. Music of the game is so captivating and it feels just right with the missions and gameplays. Not sure about if others noticed, I loved all the little tricks they added in such as the mirage that happens when you're in the desert and you see all from Bayek's past and unconscious thoughts coming to life in brinks of seconds. Origins was just amazing in every aspects. @Ubisoft please bring similar story back or another ancient or mysterious background of Egypt.

The last great AC. Why ? Let me explain : - The historical period is well chosen. We are at a turning point of ancient egypt's history. This kingdom will never be the same after the arrival of the Romans. Moreover, it allows us th meet great historical characters like Pompeus, Cleopatra and Julius Caesar. That's the right time and the right place to insert your plot. - Directly linked to the first point : the atmosphere. This period is a rly good advantage because it allows the player to discover both the ancient egypt world and the Greco-Roman world. If you have seen enough of egyptian culture like the pyramid of Gizah or the Sphinx, you can just walk around in Alexendria and another city in North est (don't remember the name). The landscape are magnificents, the buldings are elaborated, the cities are full of people living their lives, it's a pleasure to wander in this game even in the desert. - CONSISTENCY!!!!!! The last game in which the animus is respected. The purpose of AC games is to revive historical assassins memories by means of the animus. It's the PAST, you can't change it. We are compelled to follow the story of ONE assassin. And this is what makes this game so great. It's one character, with his own story, and there is only one Bayek, one way to remember him the way he was. In Odyssey, some people will keep in mind Kassandra, other will remind Alexio, and I think this could undermine one charcter's popularity because not everybody will remember him/ her as the hero. Furthermore, she/he has a different behaviour which varies according to our choices so which one is the real one? Wich one is the cannon Kassandra? We still don't know what she rly did in the canon story. At the end, playing Kassandra or Alexio feels more like playing a character in the elder scrolls games. A puppet, a doll with no real personnalities, we are in control, and the character does as we say. It works in TES games, but not in AC. - Finally, the mythological elements do not compromise the story and don't take too much space. It's very well done. Do I rly need to explain why they screwed up mythological arc in Odyssey? It's better in Valhalla. At the end, I think origins deserves a real sequel, another game to continue the story of the brotherood's birth. I like to imagine a second opus in which we can play Aya, AND JUST AYA NO OTHER ASSASSIN MALE "BECAUSE WOMEN LEAD DO NOT SELL GAME". While Aya is rallying new members in Rome, the new empire rises and the order of the ancients is ready to strike back. The puropse of that game would be to assemble as many new recruits as possible through all Europe and prevent the order from spreading. It would be a game like Brotherhood but with an improved system. You could command your troops, send assassins in missions, and personalize them. You could have assassins from different regions : celtic, greek, roman, egyptian... and the title would be obviously Assassin's creed : empire. Unfortunately, it's just a dream...
