Professor, please, how about when the status of a paper is WITH EDITOR but it’s more than the number of days from SUBMISSION TO FIRST DECISION indicated on the journal website

The time from submission to the first decision varies for each paper. Sometimes, the process may be longer or shorter, depending on several factors. If your topic requires the involvement of associate editors or reviewers with expertise in specific areas, it can take longer to assign appropriate reviewers. In such cases, the review process may be extended. If you wish to inquire about the current status of your submission, you can contact the editor.

I submitted a paper to a journal and I got rejected since one year and I worked on it and developed it then I submitted it to the same journal, I saw decision in process before sending out for review which means desk rejection, Can the reasons related to same journal submitting for the second time? I have previously published papers with this journal, Can this affects my previous publications or it does not have any relationship? Thank you in advance

It depends on the editor. We don't have such practice in our journal. There are some authors who have published several papers in the journal.
