I really wanted to tell you that your Vocaloid dying video made me actually want to become a hopefully future Producer to start out with you see i want to create a new Generation of vocaloid kind of like what you described in your videos i really want to bring that kind of magic that they where able to even if i feel like there a part of me that feels like it's just a silly dream but a part of me says that it's not amd i talked to Demo VD and Weeblu about this as well...Weeblu said just support smaller perducers and i do my best to i mean i have made so many Producers this way who i hope I can be as half as good as thry are! I'm still learning the basics of music oc course but i was bingwatching your videos and it just fulls my flame to try and corner that dream of a new Generation anf i mean were having people like Giga p and others coming back! I really think now couldn't be a better time you know?...I'm sorry if i sound delusional or anything,but this dream really does mean something to me and i wanted to thankyou for brining this kind of thing to my attention and help me finally know what i want to do and kinda like Pinocchio p and Mitchie M i want to make some what real sounding vocaloids to mix my voice with! I don't know I'm sorry if I'm wasting your time telling you all this but i really do hope you don't find my dream silly or anything because you are what kinda inspired me to want to do so...and i really did want to thankyou for that! And vocaloid to me is a family of amazing people who bring to the table when it comes to music who are able to make robotic voices actually have feeling and I love it so much..and to me family will never die...i don't know...😅 But either way i do want to say thankyou once again so much...😄😅

One of the things I love about PinocchioP is how he tunes Vocaloids. In his style, they sound really robotic, but at the same time also expressive. He's able to communicate the emotions and feelings of the songs to the listeners, while still managing to keep the charm of Vocaloid's robotic voices.

People tend to blame Miku herself (so to speak) as being the reason people aren't familiar with the producers behind the music. The real issue is that most amateur musicians or entrepreneurs don't know how to build a brand. It's an issue in any industry. This was exacerbated by the fact that most songs on KZbin were reprints with no attribution. I admit I wasn't familiar with the various producers outside of Project Diva. But that really changed for me once producers branched out from NND and started having official channels on KZbin. They started putting their names or logos on their PVs. These days I'm very familiar with who the various producers are. That's one way PinnochioP really built his success. He knew how to self-brand right out of the gate.

I've only recently tried getting into Pinocchio-p's works, but I remember listening to "Apple Dot Com" for the first time, being so impressed with the inclusion of a recorder that genuinely sounds good with the song. It reminded me of Gorillaz with their song "Rock The House", where they included butchered recorder notes into their song and yet it still sounds so natural 😅🤣 It's safe to say that Pinocchio-p is one of the more distinctive and unique Vocaloid producers at the moment, and your video really made me appreciate him a lot more :)))

I just realized the other day that Pinocchio-P is probably the producer I've been listening to the longest. I didn't realize that so many of my middle school favorites like eight hundred, and Yumeneko were written by him. I really think he's such an important part of Vocaloid, and I also wish a lot more people knew about his work. Awesome video as always! I was beyond excited to get the notification for this 😁

My first time listening to PinocchioP was when I was just getting into Vocaloid. The first song I heard from him was Common World Domination. My first time hearing this song was from Utsu-P's remix. I was a fan of Utsu-P from the beginning, he was the first producer who caught my attention. After hearing his remix I decided to listen to the original and discovered a fantastic producer with a unique style and his own universe. Then I found out that Utsu-P and PinocchioP are friends and even made a song together. And Utsu-P has his first appearance on a Magical Mirai album the year that PinocchioP makes the theme song. And they were live together at the same time that you release this video. That's too many coincidences, you need to make a video about Utsu-P next! (just joking, you still choose who you want to talk about, but it would be great if you consider a video about him in the future)

Honestly, as someone who's been (unknowingly for a while) listening to pinocchio ever since the early days, this brought a smile to my face. It all started for me with eight hundred. That song was in my mind for many years, and it makes me cry consistently to this very day. Finding out later in life (after becoming a pino fan) that it was actually HIS song? That was a big moment for me. But what really stabbed my heart was Because You're Here. I think Oniku Kurumi put this very well in her July rankings video, but I really do think that him expressing "the vocaloid lovers who are not using her voice" is something that is truly unique and amazing, and shows that he truly does have a connection with that side of this entire community. Honestly I can't express enough how much I care for his music, there aren't enough words in the world for it.

PinocchioP is probably, not just my fav vocaloid producer, my fav musician, PERIOD. I just HOW much he injects his personality into his work. One thing that has stood out to me is his singing/backing vocals in his vocaloid songs. Now it's something I've heard others do recently. Like Kurage-p in Chururi Chururi Dadada(crowd of students part) and Bless Your Breath in the chorus. But it's only in the background. PinocchioP will just straight up have only his vocals in the track. Like, the small rapping part in Apple dot com, Matsuri hey common, and little phrases in Tonchinkan Feast. I've never heard another producer do it like that before in the MANY years I've been a vocaloid fan! Even the subject matter he does in his music. Social commentary (like with his DAIHAKKEN channel), his versatility with music, does him own art, and SO MUCH more!!

PinocchioP has been my favourite producer for so long now. He’s genuinely my biggest inspiration and his music always hits me so hard. i love pinnochioP, he is absolutely one of my favorite vocaloid producers. i think what drew me in was definitely his lyrics. i consistently can find something relatable in his lyrics because he puts himself into his lyrics, and they feel so human but he maintains the vocaloid "aesthetic". he's so talented he can write lyrics about pretty dark topics (mental health seems to be his most reoccuring theme honestly) while the images and sounds remain light and uplifting. obviously thats not always the case, he throws in dark imagery fairly often but i think its the conflicting tones he uses so seemingly effortlessly that i really love!

Pinocchio-P is my all-time favorite producer, and my favorite songs are the ones where he sings. Everything About Animals, Apple Dot Com, Vocaloids are Lame, and It's Matsuri, Hey Come On! are absolute joys to listen to because i can hear his voice so clearly. having Vocaloid music that really speaks to the emotions of the producer is so important. i think i like Vocaloid music best when it feels like the vocal synthesizers are instruments being used to express the thoughts/feelings of the artist, not characters that the artists are basically writing a universe for. also, i'd be lying if i said i didn't have kind of a crush on Pinocchio-P. he's so cute and he has such a fun stage presence!

I first listened to Apple dot com when I didn’t even know who PinocchioP was. The first song that I connected his name with was Nobody Makes Sense, and I swear, no song before nor since has touched me on such a deep, emotional level, except maybe some of his other recent works. There’s something about the optimistic nihilism present in so many of his lyrics, coupled with all the qualities of his instrumentals that you mentioned, that has firmly entrenched him as my favorite artist of all time

The first pinnochio p song i heard was common world domination (when i first got project mirai bc i was still a fan but haven't kept up with vocaloid since like, 2013, and even then it was just listening to songs i already knew) and even though i didn't understand the lyrics there was something with the music that struck me. It was bright, colorful, and upbeat but i could feel the underlying emotion in it? If that makes sense? Then the next one i listened to was all i want are the things i like, and i now can instantly recognize his style, not just from his sound, but also with that cheery upbeat music with the underlying tone if "oh... this isn't that happy of a song isn't it" I get the same feeling with Kikuo except Kikuo has "cuter" music, and the cuteness of his songs weirdly makes them creepy. I don't think pinnochio p songs are creepy just kinda... dreadful is a big word to use but it's the closet i can dig up.

I absolutely LOVE Pinocchio-P, I discovered his music around 4 years ago, and it genuinely changed my life. Every song he's released is so gorgeous and interesting, that even the songs I'd consider to be my "least favorites" are still super enjoyable to listen to. "What's Inside" was the first song of his I'd ever heard, and I still remember what I was doing that day when the song came on. I've now been learning Japanese, and while there are a lot of Pino's songs I know the _translations_ for, line by line, I hope to one day be able to listen and sing along to a Pinocchio-P fluently. I cannot stress how absolutely devastated I am that I can't buy the Ramen bowl from his 15th Anniversary merch collab with OIOI 😭 That aside, great video.

2020 sucks so far, except for Vocaloid. So many new fave songs produced this year !

I think it's also interesting how much he can do with one song, he's constantly remixing. I remember when I first heard Kebyou Shounen on Poncotsu, already a really edgy and abrasive album and here's this song that's so arrhythmic and amelodic and it's still such a jam. I still think of it every time I want to try to get out of doing something. That feeling of "I'm such a mess, but I'll be a better person in the future, right?"

( I actually made it a part of my routine to listen to Common World Domination everyday. I listen to it to ground myself as well as remind myself to enjoy life and be myself. )

I was like osessed with pinochiop not too long ago, but eventually listened to his songs less and less. I still try to check out new songs he releases because even if I end up not liking the song on first listen, I know the lyrics will be 👌 top tier.

Just curious, but what do you think defines the growth of a producer? Something like complexity of the lyrics or the like?
@Vintagestep4 жыл бұрын
I don't think increasing complexity is the answer, a very complex song isn't necessarily good. As a person that's trying to produce their own music, I think it comes down to find ways to convey what you feel and what you think to others even if some of that gets lost somewhere since no one shares completely the living experience of another person. If anything, I'd say it comes down to what a musician or producer in this case chooses to learn and how they use said skills to communicate. I think it's not about how complex or sophisticated you can be, it's more about that you can choose how complex or sophisticated your music can be and still convey a lot... Maybe also the ability to stay relevant by understanding what to do or how even if that partially shapes your music... After all, without an audience, there are not income chances, and people have to eat to survive.

To me personally in art what matters is not the complexity of the form but the complexity of the message. For example, currently I'm studying literature and one of my favourite writers Is Edgar Allan Poe. Why? Because he was able to create complex stories with very simple elements. If you tell most writers to create a story with just man following a stranger around a city with no interaction whatsoever, like The man of the crowd, or a terryfiying poem with just a guy that is scared of a random raven, like in The Raven, most people would simply give up (I for sure would struggle trying It). Poe not only creates great stories with those elements, but he also plays with your psicology and does a lot more. You can have very complex art that says too little or nothing at all and very simple art that actually says a lot. And although I would not necessary say that one is better than the other, as they could serve different purposes, I deffinitely admire more artists that say a lot with too little, as I think that is harder to achieve.

This is great, honestly watching this really makes you think about how much variety hi music has.. it feels like every song has its own unique vibe to it, while some artists have one vibe that they play off of. Have you thought of writing about hachiya nanashi? They recently left the scene but their music has always been so beautiful ;-;

I don't think I've ever listened to Hachiya before, I'll have to give them a look

ubnubmaster Oh they're amazing, you should! They have this really unique rock/electro swing kind of style, and use a lot of different instruments together to create spectacular songs. They even made Jitterbug for Meiko's 15th anniversary, which was featured in Project Diva Megamix :)! It's a shame they just announced they were leaving after making Dizzy Dizzy on August 31st, so they're freshly dropping out of the vocaloid scene after starting to build up a lot of traction :( Still, they're music will always be some of my top favorites
