You are probability the best how to instructor on KZbin. Clear, concise along with impeccable audio and camera work. I enjoy all your videos and at 73 you still show me some things. Thanks, Gun Geezer Mike

As a new pistol owner and using the VP9 long slide, these instructional videos have been fantastic. Perfect detail of every step, no matter how basic a step may be. It’s given me much more confidence to attempt some of the ‘deeper’ cleaning that my gun will require at some stage. Big thank you.

Thank you for making these HK VP9 videos! I First found your channel while searching for How to clean a HK VP9, subbed ever since. Thank you!

You’re welcome! That’s so cool you’ve been subbed for that long. I think I have two more VP9 videos coming. Not sure when they will be uploaded but they are coming. Thanks again for being an early subscriber.

You have the RED Paint on your RECOIL spring, thats an older spring.HK has since made a better replacement spring. The reason is the spring you have doesn't like all AMMO. If you call HK they will confirm about the upgraded spring. They mite ask for your Serial # so have it handy.
@UBRArsenal4 жыл бұрын
@@thepatriotsrock2 Yup, thanks! I already called HK and they said I would have to pay for the updated spring. He also said if I only shoot 115 grain then I dont need the updated spring. I only shoot 115 grain so thats why I decided to not to spend the money. Thanks for the heads up and I hope you subscribed. :)

👍Thank you for a very well done video! Tips/Suggestions: #1 The extractor only needs to be removed after a high round count. Generally using an inexpensive curved tip dental pick/tool to clean any fouling under the hook of the extractor and cleaning any build up on the breech face after each trip to the range will suffice. #2 Flat tip punches work great for Solid piece pins but in order to preserve the integrity (won’t bugger up the ends), of the steel roll pins that HK uses, use a “Steel Roll Pin Punch”. The Roll Pin punches are specifically designed for steel roll pins and have a round tip that centers the punch. Amazon sells a great 7-piece set made by Grace USA for about $35. #3 When driving out the Roll pin, turn the slide upside down and gently tap/drift the Roll pin from the inside of the slide (***But not all the way out, just far enough to clear the capture of the extractor). The pin tension will be enough to hold the pin in the hole. Then clean, reassemble, hold the extractor in place and tap (***With a Nylon head hammer), the Roll pin down flush from the top of the slide. The Nylon head will easily get the job done and not mar the finish. Good luck 👍

Awesome tutorial! How often should the rubber buffer inside the spring be replaced? Any idea of the round count, or age in years to replace the rubber buffer? Thank you.

I had mine when HK first launched the VP9 and never replaced mine. Every time you clean the striker, just inspect it to see if it looks worn out. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.

How often do we need clean the extractor. Do we need to add oil to the springing the extractor spring? Excellent video and made me a subscriber. Was thinking about buying the CZ P10 c but since the HK is easier to handle for me since i am a lefty. I am leaning towards the HK

When I clean my pistols I clean around the extractor and that seems to keep things working correctly. I don’t normally remove it to clean it unless I’m having an issue. Thanks so much for subscribing. The VP9 is still my favorite pistol. If you’re looking for an optic ready HK VP9sk, looks like PSA has them and it has a rebate. Links below. They also have full size ones that have rebates too. Let me know if you pick one up and what you think. www.avantlink.com/click.php?tt=cl&merchant_id=366d8fa6-2a72-4d59-bc31-583f74cfd91b&website_id=847b6d49-f1dd-4c29-bf4f-2ed0cf36ca28&url=https%3A%2F%2Fpalmettostatearmory.com%2Fheckler-and-koch-vp9sk-9mm-pistol-3-39-15rd-black-81000810.html

Great video, except HK recommends replacing the pin after it was taken out, at least on my HK VP9 SK I was told always replace with a new pin.
@UBRArsenal4 ай бұрын
I've never replaced my pin and it still works great. Not sure why they would recommend that. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day.

Do you ever put clp oil on the extractor and spring to lubricate ?
@UBRArsenal2 жыл бұрын
Hi Don, I don’t. If you really want to, you could use a tiny bit of grease on the extractor spring.
@jimkloosterman9231 Жыл бұрын
How often would this be necessary? Every 1000 rounds?
@UBRArsenal Жыл бұрын
Yeah, you could do it every 1k rounds. I think you could wait even longer if you want too. I would say anytime around 1 to 2k rounds would be a good time to do it. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day. 👍🏼🤜🤛
