Episode 68
IronSword is one of the best sequels on the NES, and definitely the best one with Fabio on the cover! Although the first game in the Wizards & Warriors series was very generous with lives and continues, this game is quite a bit more challenging!
The Wizards and Warriors series was created by Rare, but they were making so many games in the late 80's that they decided to hire a new company to make the sequel. It may seem crazy to let an unproved studio like Zippo Games make a sequel to one of their most popular games, but the risk paid off and Zippo delivered something amazing!
So how did this game get made? In this episode we'll find out, then we'll dive deep into the game play where we'll learn:
* How to beat EVERY Level!
* What's inside of EVERY TREASURE CHEST! Get all the best stuff!
* Where to find every SECRET ROOM, and there's even MAPS to show you exactly where to look!
* What items to buy at the game's stores!
* SHORTCUTS you can use to beat bosses or skip finding important items!
* How to RIG THE MONEY GAME so you always win!
* The secret to getting nearly UNLIMITED CONTINUES!
* Understanding how equipment, weapons, and damage works!
* How the game's SPELLS work - Know exactly what each one does!
* A SECRET GLITCH to keep your MAGIC after beating a boss!
* How to defeat EVERY BOSS, even MALKIL'S FINAL FORM... AND MORE!
Thanks for watching!

I thought the last level music sounded too much like I already beat the game. Wind and air elemental stage songs were bangers though, and the money making game song is strong. The music for the underwater sub-dungeon when you go to find the stage spell would have been better on the earth stage, instead of repeating the mountain base song

This one hits home. I loved Wizards and Warriors; it was one of my favorite NES games. I got this one on release, with the Fabio cover and everything, and it was one of the few games I owned that I could never beat, and the one that probably frustrated me the most. I just could never finish the four elementals at the end. I would have killed for this guide! ah well, for those sentimental reasons, this is my favorite playthrough or yours by far. Thank you!

I feel you. I considered myself to be a pretty solid gamer when I was young - beating TMNT, Ninja Gaiden, Blaster Master, Battle Of Olympus, etc., but I always perished on those four elementals. Definitely one of my greatest gaming failures as a youth. One I know I'll never spend the time to go back and finish. Too many other games in the back log that will take precedence. After all these years, though, it's nice to see someone else finish it off.

This channel is the modern Nintendo Power! I found this game to be even more difficult than the first but I love it. The music is also absolutely fantastic. Vampire

One of the most memorable musics that ice fire mountain theme. It is also one that a beginner piano/keyboard player can easily learn :)
