Follow along as I take you through my 1bed/1bath apartment in UCLA Graduate Student Housing at Venice/Barry.

WHAT'S OUTSIDE / IN THE AREA
-Apartment complex is in a nice area called Mar Vista
-UCLA Shuttle bus comes approximately every hour and goes directly to campus ~30 min/trip
-Sunday Farmer's market 3 blocks away
-Apartment complex is a 5-minute drive away from whole foods, trader joes, ralph's, mitsuwa
-multiple taco trucksssss few blocks away
WHAT'S INSIDE?
-Lobby perks: UCLA has volunteers that pick up food (near its sell-by date) from nearby local grocery stores and they drop it off in the lobby for residents to take for free! (items include bread, produce (lots of it: veggies, fruits), flowers, pre-packaged foods, pastries, etc.)
-Additional perks: Residents often leave random things in the lobby during their moveout, which other residents may take! I've taken furniture, stuffed animals, art, plates, cups, and bowls!
-Gym is nothing special
-Pool is okay
MY APARTMENT:
-1bed/1bath (I do not live in the junior 1bd/1bth)
-unfurnished
-$1523 per month + ~$10 for gas + ~$80 for electricity
-free standard wifi comes with the apartment for free but you gotta call to set it up
-1 free parking spot
-on-site laundry near elevators on both sides of the building (uses an app to pay)
KITCHEN:
-good dishwasher
-huge sink
-good stove
-no microwave (must bring your own)
-lots of storage space
-lots of storage space
BATHROOM:
-lots of storage space
-high shower head
-heating fan
BEDROOM:
-floor to ceiling windows
-lots of sunlight throughout the day
-walk-in closet
-door to balcony
