Living with a roomate can be tricky, I have had several there was one good roomate, 4 okay roomates and 2 very messy/crazy/dangerous roomates. If the roomate lost their job you could be stuck paying the entire bill? What would you do if you had to pay $3000 a month? What if you're roomate starts smoking a bunch of pot inside the unit, you don't smoke but you're afraid the second hand smoke will endanger you're health and make you fail one of you're companies random drug tests and there is nothing you can do to get rid of the roomate. What if you're roomate changes their motor cycle oil on the carpet and you don't want to pay for the damage? What if you're roomate starts partying late on weekdays and you can't can't get enough sleep to do a good job at work. Its better to get you're own place but in alot of big cities you can't, you can't always get to know a roomate before you commit either sometimes the location of you're job changes with little notice and you need to quickly find something. If I had to have a roomate I would want to put a simple set of rules that everyone agreed on in writing and I would have everyone sign that document.

I live in the valley. #2 was probably one of the newer buildings here and it’s pretty nice. You can most definitely find an apartment in the valley for under $1500 and live on your own. Yes it won’t be like number 2 but it won’t be like #1 either. You just have to be open to the idea of it. Edit: the valley is not far from everything. I live in the area of #2 and I can get to Hollywood in about 15-20 minutes. That’s less than it would take from Santa Monica in traffic. The valley has a lot to offer. It takes me 30-45 minutes to get to Santa Monica but that because the 405 is a parking lot 24/7

Eva Delgado thank you! I was thinking the same exact thing. Sherman Oaks and Studio City are just a few streets down. Toluca Lake is just 5 minutes away. I love the Valley. I noticed those that live in the west side are usually those who just moved here.

@@marinemalkchyan2580 what places are affordable for around 1500 a month rent. Sherman oaks?
@marinemalkchyan25802 жыл бұрын
@@georgekelly5987 this video is pretty outdated (3 years ago) so unfortunately you can’t really find much in the Valley for 1500, especially not in the Sherman Oaks area as the average rent around here for a one bedroom is around $1900-2K (depending on the building and exact location). You would have to look further down in the Pacoima/Sun Valley areas for something a bit more affordable in the Valley.

Obviously the American dream is a cliche, it is impossible for a worker to pay even the rent of 1500, more food, transportation, water, electricity, gas, telephone, I worked in the United States for a while, but I returned to Mexico, I have more opportunity In my country, here I have a 3-room house, internet, telephone, water, electricity, etc., I am going to start university and work as a worker.
