Runs great on 4s and I like a lil chop but the boat gets squirrelly but that's what makes it fun 😊 I like that spot 🙏🏼 beautiful day BG4L ✌🏼😎

Good speed, nice running boat. The 005 was the boat you were looking for.

Great Rc boat,ran mine at Lske Berryessa and lost the lid on the second run but was able to recover it swam out and found it 6’ deep I guess I didn’t lock it down but I will use tape in the future. Thanks good run.love the rooster tails.🎉

Thanks man.. it's a fun boat for sure, just needs 4S to wake it up. Just a heads up tho, consider upgrading the flex shaft to a 4mm universal. The stock one has really thin metal where the cable goes into the shaft end. Mine lasted quite a long time, but finally broke on the last run, and I lost a $35 prop😬

That's so cool! It does look very fast. One side of RC I haven't tried so far, not many lakes around here, but I'd love to try one.
@scaleworksRC5 ай бұрын
Yeah that's one thing that kind of drew me to it. Central Fla is littered with small lakes and ponds all over the place. Mostly private, but thanks to Google, it's pretty easy to find a spot on the fly. This boat is a good entry level craft if you're thinking about it.

Yeah man, go for it! They are good little boats for the money and I can already see spending more on upgrades to make it better. If you don't mind the looks, I'd go for the Tylosaurus.. it's a little more money but worth it for the parts included, plus it comes with a 4S ready 120A ESC. I just prefer the looks of this one

You Did it. That Thing is Awesome. Seems to be perfect handling an speed. OH man My buddy used to take me fishing an it was a pretty good size boat and we would go like 45mph and it seemed like i was Flying across the water. Felt faster. Looks faster. Awesome
@scaleworksRC5 ай бұрын
Yep, you know what I'm talking about. I had the same deal.. buddy had a decent boat and 45mph felt dangerously fast 😆 Glad you enjoyed it and thank you!

Awesome video brother! Yea the water makes speed seem so much faster! 70 in my bass boat may as well be 100! 😂

Yup, that's freakin' flying on the water! I'm probably going for 100 on the water next 😁🤜🤛

Remember throttle control! Sorry I had to repeat it🤣 Yeah man looking good now! I would say you may need some different turning blades or adjust your existing ones, it was funny the flying fish flip out of the water but that was a issue I had with one boat and I found the turn blades were just wrong for that particular hull and caused it to dig in one way and roll in strange ways. Yours only done it ones though so maybe just coincidence it looked like a serious issue🤷

Lol glad you enjoyed it M8! It was fun learning the boat on camera and thank you for that tip about the fins! I plan on upgrading that hardware but honestly overlooked the fins because I didn't really understand how they affect performance. The rudder also has a bit of play, but it's not really noticeable driving the boat. Muuuch better than that WL915 though!
@RodRatunil5 ай бұрын
do you have trouble in fitting the battery on the battery tray? was the size of the 4s same with 3s? thanks
@scaleworksRC5 ай бұрын
I used a HRB 3000mah 60C 4S on this run. It's a little snug, but it fits under the hatch fine, and is the same length as the stock battery, just taller and slightly wider. The problem is, the added weight reduces left hand turn handling and it wants to spiral out of the water with the extra weight on the left rear. Still, a fun boat!
@Thebassguru844 ай бұрын
So what set up is this? I just got this boat and want to run 4s but I've seen people say the stock esc wouldn't hold up
@scaleworksRC4 ай бұрын
Correct. I think it has a 40A or something, but it doesn't regulate the voltage going to the servo.. so you could fry that as well if you go above 3S. I'm running a Flycolor 70A from a smaller boat. It's enough to handle up to 6S, but you'd probably see more speed from a 120A unit. The most recent video, I finally ran 6S again and got 42mph with an Oxidean prop today! 😃

They say the fun in RC is measured in 'smiles per mile', meaning it doesn't have to be super fast to be fun ..I guess this would be nautical miles? 😄
