I know I’ve left a similar comment in the past, but you guys have really come a long way in your synth demos. They’ve always looked good, but now they sound really great, too. I appreciate the care and attention that is given to playing things that are melodically and harmonically interesting. A lot of synth demos end up just sounding like unorganized, unpleasant noise because the person doing the demo is only concerned with what the synth is technically capable of. I much prefer these types of demos.

this is how you make synths p.S it is a bit annoying that it is always in stereo panning mod or something.. is it not possible to have simple mono ??
“Binaural Audio is NOT Stereo Audio, and vice versa. Binaural sound is not to be confused with conventional stereo sound. Stereo audio allows for localization to the left and right upon playback. With binaural, a listener can localize sound sources in front of them, behind them, above and below. Stereo does not factor in the natural ear spacing or “head shadow” of the head and ears. These things happen naturally as a person listens, generating their own ITDs (Interaural Time Differences) and ILDs (Interaural Level Differences). “ I can perceive a phase modulation between left and right, so it’s a stereo setup, is “binaural” just a marketing word or am I missing something?

@@SPAZZOID100Totally disagree, Summit has a wide array of possibilities to manipulate sound design. And the Summit has more of almost everything - voices, oscillators, four times as many wavetables, LFO's, keys, layers, stacks, splits, analog distortion. Just deeper overall. Will also have more 3rd party sounds available. All of that and for less money too. But the bottom line is sound, they both sound nice, but I think the Summit gets the edge. Udo 6 has a lot going for it and is a great start but just sounds more basic to my ears. Novation's flagship synth is the culmination of decades of experience and polish and it shows.

@PerfectCircuit4 жыл бұрын
There is more information on the synth and the binaural aspects of it in our Signal article about it: www.perfectcircuit.com/signal/udo-super-6?
@Noiretranquility4 жыл бұрын
I think Binaural refers too the two independent oscillators, each one has its own phase and that makes it fuller,warmer and more alive, panning is just sending the same oscillator left and right but the phase it’s the same so there’s a big difference, the best way to understand it is to use headphones and feel the stereo field that it creates
@synthplayer15634 жыл бұрын
@@Noiretranquility Ok, I looked into my synths. As far as I see, neither has a panning of a single OSC in a voice. But you can achieve nearly the same result in using a unison mode with 2 independent voices and panning each voice. So I don't get it why this is something special.
