@@music4screens I'd say this is much more than just "sounds". I'd call it a composition. A very inspired improvisation ! Transports me straight into a Stanislaw Lem novel - specifically the Invincible :) If UDO had any sense, they'd hire you to make their commercial videos. Lovely use of light and shadow. I like taking photos of sunbeams on mine too ;) Though I'm surprised you later sold the blue one for the white one! The white ones are very pretty, yes, but this pastel blue is one of my favourite hues and tones. The orange is darker and the blue is lighter, but it reminds me of the Amiga. I suppose that's why there's options though - I've seen George say the slate grey one is his favourite.

@@music4screens ahh, so there was a gap between them. wonderful demo, probably the closest to what I’m most interested in! Selling old gear to invest in a poly synth, so far main contenders are Matriarch, Super 6 and Prophet 6. This demo gave a lot of points to Udo haha. I really love Moog sound, but my main fear is the lack of more voices (paraphony in that case) since I’m classicaly trained and ocasionally like to throw in wider chords and this demo showed what S6 can do :)
@music4screens2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your comment. This synth has a very Roland sound. Moog is beautiful and warm too, but I think S6 is more powerful on poly chords. Prophets have their own sound, more sharp and cold for me. Super6 is the most capable synth for keyboard players. Matriarch is full of modulation if you are in eurorack world.
@Kung_Fu_Jesus2 жыл бұрын
Surely the Polybrute should be in there as well, it’s an astounding synth. Most demo’s don’t show off the sound well enough, for programming it’s a dream.
@music4screens2 жыл бұрын
@@Kung_Fu_Jesus PolyBrute is even more capable on modulations and morphing. Its computer integration is great also. Both are really big machines.
@nataskunas2 жыл бұрын

I was cross-shopping those, as well as the big Arturia and Novation synths, but did eventually pick the Super 6. After a long period of deliberation! No regrets though - just like with my saxophone and my Jazzmaster, it's a player's instrument with its own sound and immediate responsiveness. Those other options were very cool, but their vibes just didn't click with me in the same way - just like a Stratocaster or a Telecaster.

Perfection. Deciding between getting this or the Matriarch. In some aspects they weirdly seem awfully similar.
@music4screens Жыл бұрын
I had both. Now keeping Matriarch, but all about space. Polyphonic is more enjoyable for playing like a keyboard player. Paraphonic is fun for experimenting. Thats why I like Matriarch, and because it is really vintage and its stereo delay is amazing.
