Question... at 10:18 I see on the Xiaomi Redmi there's some shadowy glitching on the face during smiling, what is that or what is going on there? Is that normal? Will it show up if there are textures or? I noticed it doesn't seem to do that as much on the iPhone.

Good point! I believe the reason was that the 2025.1.7 version of the plugin still uses a default camera calibration asset retrieved from an iPhone (which has lens distortions), so it wasn’t matching 100% with the footage which causes that. I can happily say that it’s not happening anymore and won’t be there in the new version ^^ Additionally, when I applied these animations to a MetaHuman, I didn’t see these glitches🤔

awesome man, you did it! haha I saw marc demo on linkedin and tried my self to generate some depth maps in comfy ui and stuff, but work got me up and I didn't have time, but here you are you fucking did it! haha, Iphone is better but here in brazil your plugin costs around 160~~ for comparison an iphone 12 here is almost 3k, so I see it as "is the iphone 10x better?" N O W A Y. again thank you, love you, keep up the dev!

Thank you so much! I’m really happy you liked it😊About the MetaHuman identities I showed between 06:03 and 07:48, they were created from videos to capture performances. For the comparison videos, I used the default MetaHuman face skeletal mesh to keep the comparison fair and objective👍If you want to create your own MetaHuman it is better to use a 3d scan app and create your identity from a mesh👍

Can we extract any video footage data which is not calibrated through meta human animator (like as in the process we do) ?

Currently, extracted frames are scaled to 720p during extraction to align with the default calibration data for plugin processing. However, the new version will expose all settings, including FPS and aspect ratio, allowing you to customize resolution and other parameters for extraction and processing while creating custom calibration assets with the plugin ^^

Hey there! I shot a short film using a stereo set up but MHA isn't generate a depth map for me. I think it may be becuase the cameras were a bit too far apart from one another. do you think there's a way to use ur plugin to generate a depth map using the 2 cameras? I know your plugin creates a depth map from one camera but is there a way to create a real depth map using a stereo capture?

Unfortunately, Depth Frame Mancer isn't designed for this purpose🥲Initially, I tried generating depth data using two cameras, hoping to achieve better results. However, the process didn’t go well due to challenges with calibration, lens alignment, synchronization and other complexities, which weren’t very user-friendly, so I gave up. It’s likely that you might be missing something because I’ve seen many people achieve excellent results with a properly configured stereo setup

I’m still not completely sure yet 😔 but at least I got some info from them recently. They mentioned the plugin is currently in review by another team. I'm waiting for a response from them now 👍
