Sloe Bone, Bought 2 Megabooms for €200 each brand new, Great speakers yes but I warn you. They HAVE PROBLEMS..... Sometimes they will either not charge or will not turn on. But when they do work, they are unbelieveble in a bag to bring with you and usually last me a week before charging, because of their 20 Hr battery life. 👏

I have been using the regular UE Boom for my dance classes for 2 years. It's really convenient, small, light weighted, so I don't even try to use the speaker at the gym. But I think I need to get the Mega Boom. Thanks for the demo.

I read lots of hate about UE devices. I have the original BOOM, and while it doesn't have the most bass, it does sound very nice overall. Even better considering what I paid for it.

UE is great, my mini boom just died after a year and a half of using it every day for 6 to 9 hours in a restaurant. its been dropped, kicked, banged, taken a water bath even though it had no water resistant feature and kept kicking. my little guy was beating speakers that were twice the size and price.

Listen from all the comments I'm reading I see that both the UE megaboom and the JBL Extreme are the same price in America, but in Australia the JBL is 400 and the UE megaboom is 270 so I think I'm getting the megaboom

I have the two types of horns that you show and unless the information in the boxes does not tell the truth, I bought the items in the T-Mobile store and are identical (signal range) I only find two differences, one is by 15 hours of charging and the other 20 hours of charging. price? $ 300. And $ 200. more taxation. And two, the sound actually varies. Thanx!!!

What would you say about the boom 2 vs megaboom?? They are both waterproof now. Here where I live, the boom 2 is 100 and the megaboom is 200. Since the megaboom is double the price im thinking about whether its worth the extra 100 or shall I stick to the boom 2. Also the boom 2 is not that large so its a plus in portability(the megaboom looks huge compared by looking at the video).. Is the soundquality good for the price or is the megaboom a must? Thanks for any advice..

I like the size of the boom 2 better. It has the size of a normal water bottle (500ml). Fits perfect in your eastpack, cup holder in a car and your hand for taking it with you.

Battery live of UE boom is not 15 hours. Not at all. I have it and had 3 of them. I had to replace it cos of the battery live. Battery live is less than 7 hours. 15 hours maybe you get in 30% volume. 😕

+James Saunders it's louder and had more bass, but the size didn't improve the actual broadness of the sound, or made the mids and richer. it sounds very similar to its little brother. since, I've bought a Fugoo XL and a JBL Xtreme and those speakers are generations better than Logitech's offerings. Its just a regular boom. I tend to use it quite frequently though. That could be it. Anyway, if its devective,, its way too late for that now. I still get a hell of a good time with it though. It also tends to overheat way too easily. I'll have it sitting in the AC all day then take it outside for 5 minutes before it shuts off.

Good review. Not very fair though. Of course newer means upgrade but who wants that big ass mutha fucking speaker. That shit is huge. Water proof. I'm from a time when you didn't keep your valuables near water in the first place. Lastly I have the Harmon/ Kardon Onyx & size does matter. I purchased my boom because my Onyx is way to big to just be portable and although there's nothing that's never sounded near as good as the Onyx I seriously appreciate and love my Boom.
