This is not correct. You rotate the Left Arm and the Right Arm of the Mixamo skeleton till the pose is similar to the UE4 skeleton and then you save that as the retargeting pose. You retarget AFTYER that.

Can we just change the manequine default A pose to T pose before re targeting to avoid doing the 45 deg rotation for every animation?

Can't import the bone mapping, just says unknown asset. I'm probably being dumb but it would have been nice to include importing it for dummies

you have to copy and paste the file from within the windows file explorer.

Just in case: After you downloaded the import mapping tool. Copy it then In Unreal right-click your "Content" folder in the content browser to bring up the context menu, click on "Show in explorer". and paste it in the new windows file explorer. It'll automatically show up on your content browser in Unreal.
