Also, there is a bug when retargetting the animations which crashes the engine (this seems to be a problem with UE), for now a quick fix is to remove the sockets from the skeleton first.

I can't believe I've found this. You have no idea how useful this is for me. I've been designing a project for a couple years that's seemed entirely unrealistic since one big mechanic seemed downright impossible, a traversal system much like the Prototype series. But this project, the wall running and the charge jump, are perfect. You've potentially made my dream game possible, and I'm forever grateful.

@Bielzinho Souza09 turn of the Wi-Fi, then run it after that it should say "dont run" and "run" once you do that click run and once it loads to the menu click alt f4 then you turn back on the Wi-Fi and run it again after than you should be able to play it with no problem, also you dont need to do this every time you wanna play just click the icon, it should save and you'll be able to play, this is only for windows so you might not be able to do it.

Very impressive stuff, I love the polish I see everywhere! The surface transition from the wall to the ceiling was pretty impressive. And the fluidity of animation overall in hard satiations to create logic for.

This is inspiring and amazing, I'm gonna get this and try to improve, you've nailed the traversal perfectly but the city does still need. I'm motivated to try and really turn this into a chill spiderman city traversal system game😊

Great composition of the animations, but I want to hand out a few suggestions. The web-swinging mechanics are pretty simple, yet amazing. But the one problem I encounter is, the air tricks are kind of stiff and it doesn't express the true essence of web-swinging, what I mean is-- the character should also be moving in many different styles when he holds the web, and his animations need to be more loose. Camera movement is fine, but you need to add a little bit of latency before the character pushes him self away from the building, that's all.

In some areas, you’ve actually done quite better than how insomniac did it. The transition from wall to ceiling is very smooth without any animation lag. Running up a building and jumping off of it giving you a vertical boost in the direction you want instead just going straight over the building is similar to how Ultimate Spider-Man did it and I love it. I will definitely give this a try to see what could have been, amazing work

I’d really love to see mechanics where you have more control over the swing, so L2 and R2 for each respective arm. Being able to choose which hand you’d want to swing from and shoot would make it way more skilled and feel better IMO

One minor problem is that Spider-Man feels way too slow and light. He falls slowly and his swing animations are also pretty slow, still nice and accurate, good job.

Hey, you're welcome :) a few people have brought this to my attention and it seems to be a bug with the project files or the engine. A quick fix for this seems to be to remove all of the sockets from the skeleton before retargetting the animations

You’ve got me into using unreal engine just so i can see if i can improve even further on this already amazing system. Im hoping i can make things a little faster, make the movement more believable. And also see if i can let it run on very low end systems even if i fully model a city for it. Thanks for giving me a base for something ive really wanted to try for years

Ive taken it upon myself, to re make this to unreal 5. - New Mixamo Skeleton, - ive downloaded the source anims straight from mixamo, and i have Unreal Enginge 4.23 open on one screen, and Unreal 5 on the other. ;P ive made it down to Anims, Airtime, remade them based on mixamo spiderman skeleton., and ive just made it to the Skydive blendspace, need to pose an anim for that, and then thats airtime folder completed XD! Dude, thank you for taking the time for making this, i will certainly let you, and all here know, how it goes :D -The Spidey i am using, is a model , ripped from spiderman for ps4.... The MKIII Armour :P - (for visual pleasing lmfao)

this has massive potential, my only worry is copyright. if you eventually work on shaders, graphics, UI, story, ( like finish the game ) this could be good for the spiderman games community. If it gets enough attraction insomniac might even make the next game on cross-platform

Thanks ! Yes it is indeed possible, you can right click the anim BP and retarget to a new mesh. On this project you have to remove all sockets from skeleton first as there is a bug. Theres some great tutorials on youtube for how to retarget properly too
