This was one of the best unreal tutorials ive seen. Thank you so much

I'd suggest that if you're making something that must performant in an actual game, consider making an animated 2D plane with a scrolling alpha texture instead of uh... using 15.1 *thousand* particles for a minor prop effect, just imo.

That came together excellently at the end. The curl noise in this example actually looks like pressure effecting velocities

Easy to follow, short, and looks great.

This is awesome, thank you, it's just what I needed for my candles.

Nice, I was looking for something like this! I was wondering if you know how to make an ink art effect, I would love to see a tutorial on it.

It is to large for my scene and when I use scale it becomes weird looking. How can I make it smaller but keep the effect?

Great tutorial, is there a way to slow it down so it seems more realistic? Thanks

is there any way to make it moveable .I mean my character holding cigar ,when her hand moves smoke moves like mesh .I want to make it when smoke moves with hand some smoke should stay at old position

This is great! It really did the trick. Thank you! Is there a way to make the particles collide around or through holes in objects?
@CorebGames10 ай бұрын
Just add collision module or need to make custom script module. Thanks

What's the best way to slow down the flow? I've been playing with the variables to try to get a lazier smoke trail, but haven't found the sweet spot yet. Any hints?

I would slow the velocities and extend the lifetime. You'll prob have to play with the curl curves a bit too.

Yeaaaah i dunno, of course it is a super realistic way of doing it but i'm not sure that i want 9000 particules to be generated in my project just for a small smoke effect ! Or maybe i'm missing something ?

I'm not sure either, but GPU compute makes it a lot less costy in ressources
@MrOttoMarrakech27 күн бұрын
You're completely right, the standard practice in games whether indie or AAA is just to make an animated 2D-plane -it can be physically sausage-linked or just have the edge vertices key-framed- facing the camera, with a long alpha texture you set the material to scroll vertically.
@MrOttoMarrakech27 күн бұрын
@@kaiserakita You shouldn't be wasting GPU resources on what could be accomplished with *one* scrolling alpha texture even instancing all those particles, it's just too much.
