I have a question...im having trouble connecting, trying to connect out of the box like i read someone did in previous comment, i see they're paired, have one connected to router and took one to sheed to give wifi access to wireless camera...testing wifi signal with my cellphone and my home network name won't show anymore bc it's too far...are these bridge names BR5-40-0? If so i tried connecting to that and asks for a psswd...tried admin, won't work looks like i need more characters bc connect isn't highlighted, tried my home wifi psswd and says incorrect...what am I doing wrong?

What mode would I use? All I need is one side to be connected to a security camera about 400 yards away

I have them, they work well but need to be outside pointed toward each other. I have a metal shop so I had to mount the receiving unit on the outside wall. The transmitter unit is inside my garage it works good when the door is open, soon as my wife closes the door on me I loose my link so I'm in the process of mounting the transmitter on the outer wall. Overall, good product.

This reviewer makes this bridge sound complicated ; NOT. If you are only providing a point to point bridge the directions tell you up front that they are preprogrammed. Simply connect every thing as pictured and it works out of the box. I am using it for an outbuilding 200 feet from my house. I get the same speed of upload and download(50 & 7 respectively) that I do with a direct connection to the router. There are several other KZbin videos that are more positive, and explain more complicated set ups.

I mention in the video they are connected out of the box. Did you watch all of the video?

I use these to send Wi-Fi to my shed. Works great!

Lynn-Ann, we also want to send Wi-Fi to our shed. My question is do I need a router in the shed to do this. My husband wants to be able to watch tutorial videos on the tv via his Roku device. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Sincerely!

In the shed I only have the receiver from the set. Nothing else. Works like a charm.

Do you have to put them outside? Can you stick them inside near an outside wall or window pointed in direction of the other one?
@Elfnetdesigns Жыл бұрын
No as long as you are not in a metal box like a home with aluminum siding, trailer home, RV, metal shed, etc then you need to put it outside or in a window at least. Remember how your microwave oven works to keep that RF inside so it cooks food, same principle with less power scaled up spaces, with a metal exterior home or space since 2.4 and 5GHz are microwave bands.

Thanks for helpful video! Is it possible to use with DSL 8-10 Mbps? 4Mbps at receiver would be better than nothing at our workshop - music streaming, email level.

Yes it would work.

I'm totally having issues I can't get it to work 😫 🙃 would you be willing to help??
@croshead2 жыл бұрын
I just had issues too, but I got it working. The instructions are awful. Just set one to master (little switch to right, this is the one by the connection you want to share) and one to slave (switch to left). Then make sure they are on the same channel or use the little reset button to change, until they match. Point them at each other, test in same room before moving to final location. My "master" is in a very hot attic shooting through a fake dormer window, once they are finally configured the performance is quite amazing (shooting about 200 ft. through oak tree to RV). Use the POE power supplies, don't waste time on the 12VDC input jack (they don't publish the specs anyway, but it probably needs to be >1 Amp). One Ethernet cable for the power, another one out of the non-POE jack from the power cubes to your web (at least in my case). I would almost be willing to rewrite the manual for them in American English now; they make a simple thing seem more complicated, and skip over information that would be really helpful..

You can pick up some used Ubiquiti Nanostation M5 radios for the same price or less and get way better results. I literally bought 8 M5 locos' @ $14 USD each and yeah they look rough (before cleanup and repainting) and the doors were missing (3d printer FTW) upon arrival, they all did power up and I could access the setup UI and configure them with no issue. There are more complete cleaner variants out there though I just got these because I knew I could replace the parts and clean them up. They also have M2 radios as well for the typical 2.4GHz band.

Hi, I have 300mbps internet speed but I am only getting 40 mbps at the client router even though the two routers are only 10 meters apart just for testing , is this normal to loose this much speed
@BudgetNerd2 жыл бұрын
On these units, yes. They are not built for speed.

@yeahrightmate2 жыл бұрын
@@BudgetNerd If I was getting anywhere near the 93mbps your was getting I would be happy but only 40 is not even close to what they advertise.
@BudgetNerd2 жыл бұрын
My 93 was a best case scenario. I wouldn't get that if I had set them up with some distance between them. But yeah, anyone would hope to be as close as possible to the theoretical max they claim. Falling way short of that is pretty frustrating, but nothing new for wireless tech.

How far is anyone going to go anyhow
@yeahrightmate2 жыл бұрын
It says 3 k's so that is what you should expect. If your car was advertised to get 40 mpg and you are only getting 5 mpg would you just live with that.
