Zib Ndix that attacking trio was fantastic, don’t get me wrong, but it was a little overrated. People are comparing it to Messi Suarez Neymar or other famous attacking trios such as Rivaldo Ronaldinho Ronaldo but in truth they were nowhere near (as a trio). I’m talking about them as a trio btw, individually each player was world class at the time. People forget, but it was actually their defence that was their strongest component that season. Pre-Eduardo injury arsenal were just as good attacking wise, possibly even better (again, I mean as a team, they were so much more fluid than united were). United of course were solid, but I do wonder if Arsenal could’ve won that PL + champions league double that year...

It was amazing season even we didn't win any trophy we have many young players we could won over milan legends and we ended up 3rd in EPL and we loss only 3 matches and draw too much we have destroyed by some injury of Eduardo at Birmingham evening. It's so unlucky for us.

@daniel albo Hate to break it to you, but I remember that season well and before the Birmingham game where Eduardo got his leg broken, Arsenal were 5 points clear of United, 8 clear of Chelsea. In fact Arsenal had already beaten Chelsea at home. Arsenal threw it away because of draws with Birmingham, Villa and Wigan (all games they should've, and probably would've won if it wasn't for Eduardo getting injured the way he did) Man Utd vs Chelsea only became memorable that season just because they also played each other in the UCL final.

This team that Wenger built with limited funds go to show how class he was. Yes I understand he didn't win anything with these players but they were all full of quality and reached far in competitions whereas managers like pochetino and klopp get given plenty of appraisal because of what they do yet no one bats an eye when Wenger did exactly that but with less funds available to him.

Kaka and Pato were the only 2 players that can match speed/power to young talent players of Arsenal at that match. Milan never lost to an English team before more like never allow to score goal from an English team at UCL knockout phase in San Siro as I remember . What Wenger achieved with arsenal post 2005-06 with the players is something that people should respect. Now it's difficult to get into top 4 but Wenger achieved it for all those years even when club wasn't having top or even notch below players. I remember that match, I've moved away from my home for studying, I remember the policy of the center they prevent us to going out after 08:00pm to hanging out on the city so if you get out after that time the watchman doesn't allow you to enter the center but only if you sign on a paper and register your name and that causes problems with manager of the center in the next day, so we have the back door to sneaking out or to getting back 😂😅
