This was one of the biggest rip off decisions in the history of the sport. I am just a fan of MMA. Nick pushed the pace of the fight. Carlos ran from him for 25 minutes and threw a week kick or short series of punches here and there in every round. Sad that the judges gave this big fight away to the wrong guy.

The judges always seem to favor whoever Dana and the UFC favors. Most recently O'Malley vs Yan and Paddy vs Jared Gordon. O'Malley and Paddy are "stars" that the UFC wants to promote and the UFC needs them to win in order to keep promoting them, so even though they lost O'Malley and Paddy were gifted "wins". Nick beat Condit, I also think he beat Silva. To put icing on the cake, Silva's drug testing shows he had steroids in his system and he got suspended for 6 months. Nick had weed in his system (he had a doctor's prescription and it was 100% legal to medicinally smoke at that time) but the weed which isn't performance enhancing gets Nick a 5 year suspension and a $285k fine. The UFC has totally screwed the Diaz brothers over many times.

Funny how the UFC risks promoting the Diaz/GSP fight in this episode before waiting to see who actually wins the fight between Diaz and Condit. It is clear who the UFC wants to win between Diaz and Condit. I am not saying the UFC will go as far as making "sure" Diaz wins by any means necessary but it is clear they want Diaz vs GSP and so do the fans. But what if Condit fucks it all up by whooping Diaz? then we get Condit vs GSP which, lets be honest, is a lot less attractive fight.

Nick Diaz will not mentally break for anyone, but even with his IRON chin & great mma boxing Nick Diaz's stand up isn't in the same league as Anderson Silva's. I love Nick Diaz, the guy always comes to fight, & he doesn't give a fuck what anybody thinks about him, but Nick leaves himself open at times & Anderson is so damn precise & accurate with his strikes. Nick also constantly moves forward, Anderson is a brilliant counter striker. I see Anderson catching Nick coming in & putting Diaz away.

I like all three of these fighters, but I am disappointed with the way that the producers of this pretty much counted Carlos out of the whole thing. Weird. Because that's not how it turned out at all. Hindsight is 20/20. I still want a Diaz/GSP rematch, but I want to see Diaz/Condit first.

In my honest opinion Nick and GSP have the best tools to put up the best fight against Silva, Diaz wouldnt mentally break down like most fighters and he would be in Silvas face the whole time and would match up perfectly in the stand up aspect because silva will not take him down. GSP would go for the take down and grind out a victory and I believe in MMA his wrestling is better than sonnen's. However I fucking hate GSP but its a fact that if GSP were to fight anderson that is what would happen.

As for GSP. He doesn't have the killer instinct to defeat Anderson. GSP's wrestling is the best in MMA PERIOD!, OK GSP takes Anderson down, now what? Anderson has great BJJ, & judging from his fights with Sonnen, Hendo, & Lutter he knows how to protect himself while on his back. Do you think GSP is going to be able to lay on Anderson (the naturally bigger man) for 5 rounds? I don't. And we all know what happens when you give Anderson Silva time to get too comfortable & let him get in his grove. *Forrest Griffen, & Vitor Belfor* (who I think is a better pure striker than Nick Diaz & GSP) Anderson also has great submissions for when GSP takes him down, because GSP will eventually get a takedown, but he isn't going to be able to do anything with it.
