@@pflges1117 People could say the same about bisping, people said the same about glover, people said the same about max, about strickland, etc. All I have in terms of technical analysis is that islam isn’t used to striking with a fellow southpaw whereas dustin is very good at fighting southpaws which opens up the check hook, calf kick, and jab and he’s much better defensively in terms of surviving. Plus like volk dustin loves to switch hit. That and a feeling baby, sometimes you gotta believe

you're 100% right about the instinct to position the neck for a guillatine. This is a jiu jitsu habit. Don't get me wrong, I'm not speaking on Dustin's black belt or accolades or anything. But if the habit year after year is to turn square into him and wrap around his neck? as opposed to punching/crossfacing his chin up to your chest level and sprawling/breaking his grip with your lower body? There is nothing to gain out of a Costa win over Strickland for UFC fans. If Strickland wins, we get the Adesanaya or Dricus rematch which tons of people want to see. And if Costa wins, there is nothing people are dying to see. Him vs Chimaev? That's it. But that's not bigger than a Dricus /Adesanaya vs Strickland rematch.

Poirier didn’t get a hip replacement. He had a arthroscopic labrum repair. I got the same surgery, and my hip mobility is better than it’s ever been 2 years later. Maybe it’s because I do my PT every day, and I focus on my weak points in training.. but you’d assume Dustin Poirier is doing the same.

Ufc contractually has to offer 3 fights a year. The fighters who sit out for a year + and say the ufc hasnt offered any fights.. they are either serving a failed test suspension or they're afraid of the opponent being offered.
