Hey Angie! Good event, overall. Belal champ, what a journey. The amount of hate, and he battled through it to get the belt. Great mental fortitude. Tom... what to say. You said it best. Great showing by Pimblett also. I was very disappointed in the Mokaev-Kape bout. After all the terrible behavior leading up, the blatant foul on Mokaev by grabbing Kape's shorts... Surely one of the worst fights of the card, for me. Awesome seeing another of you. Take care 🙌🏼🙂

Yeah I admire all that Belal has overcome. It's massive and it still doesn't feel like a lot of people get it. Oh yeah that Mokeav Kape fight was so anticlimactic!! I wonder if Dana is really gonna let mokeav go.. seems like a bit of a shame. Thanks again for coming by and you take care also!!

I'm kind of tired of immediate rematches, especially when you can argue it was 4-1 with Leon only getting that nice elbow in the last minute. Like Belal said "let him wait 3 years like I did" . Belal wants to be active it sounds like as well, he's ready to take on new challenges while Leon sat on his belt for quite a significant amount of time and was vocally picky with who he fought.
@spicemma3 ай бұрын
Same. I just hope the ufc give Belal reasonable prep time for his next fight. They love to turn around champs quickly to get rid of them for eg Strickland and Sterling.

@@spicemma I agree. He probably trained a lot two days before the fight and it's always best to stay chilled and just spar in the last days before the fight. That is why he didn't have the tank nor the stamina to compete. Very sad

It's gonna be a tough challenge coming off his loss to Strickland plus a lay off, but if anyone can do it Izzy can. DDP is a massive middle weight and will need to be slayed in the early rounds.

@@spicemma unless Izzy fixes his boxing skill, it will be like Leon vs Belal, i got DDP, what do you think ?
@spicemma3 ай бұрын
I have DDP also, he's bigger like Pereira, but still young enough to make the weight easier perhaps. So yeah a heck of a fight for Izzy. Unless DDP's WC goes badly then Izzy can ping him. It could be some what similar to leon belal

I’m extremely annoyed that Leon didnt try to match belal’s grappling until later on and didn’t go for it. He’s good enough to turn it into a wrestling match but wanted to get back up too much. He waits till the last 10 seconds of the last round to try slicing belal with elbows.

I felt Leon could have gotten going earlier too, maybe he was afraid of gassing out, its hard to know. I think Leon is more dangerous on the ground too! The cardio was the issue

Jon Jones won his fight against Cyril by pure luck. I think if they run it back Cyril gets him out of there. But Jon and Dana will never give Cyril that rematch, and I think Cyril knows that and has probably moved on to better things. Jon will never fight Tom Aspinal because he knows he'll loose. Right now Jon is about protecting that "zero" loss and is pushing Dana for a clean record but we all know his record isn't real anyway with all the steroids he's been busted for. I still don't know which of his fights he won fare and square.
@spicemma3 ай бұрын
Yeah that Jon Jones situation is frustrating for the entire sport. But its pretty hard to market a rematch with Cyril at present because the fight was over so quickly, a shame for Cyril but he can get right back up there if he wants. He needs to fight Tom, the legit champ!
