Cormier's criteria for the best fight is bad. A fight doesn't have to be competitive for it to be the best fight. I don't even like Conor, but Conor KOing Aldo is one of the best fights ever imo. Spectacle, reputations, etc. play a massive role in a fight's ranking. Competitiveness is honestly pretty low on my list. As long as it is insanely entertaining and memorable, that is the most important.

I lived in Kehei Maui when I was 15 years old. Me and my brother were bullied from day one at school. The natives did not like white kids from the states. They called us howlies. They had gangs and would fight almost every day. Hawaii is nothing like you think. Especially for white kids trying to integrate into schools. I fought two people while we were there in school. I beat both of them and both fights were defending my little brother. I was treated with respect after those fights.
