UFC Fighters "Predict" O’Malley vs Vera 2 | UFC 299

UFC 299 is set to be headlined by the bantamweight title bout between champion Sean O’Malley and challenger Marlon Vera. A lightweight clash between Dustin Poirier and Benoit Saint-Denis will act as the co-main event.
Sean O’Malley will face a familiar opponent in his first title defence as he is set to rematch Marlon “Chito” Vera for the Bantamweight title at UFC 299.
After some debate over who would get the next title shot at Bantamweight Marlon Vera won the sweepstakes over Merab Dvalishvili and Cory Sandhagen. This will be Sean O’Malley first fight since his highlight knockout over Aljamain Sterling in August to claim the Bantamweight title. Marlon Vera gets his first shot at a UFC title here coming off a decision win over Pedro Munhoz on the same card that O’Malley claimed his title.

The only reason Chito beat O’Malley the first fight is because O’Malley had that weird foot or ankle injury going on. He didn’t have feeling and mobility in that foot and he fell multiple times because of it. Suga stepped back and fell down and that’s the only reason Chito ended up on top of him. It was obvious to me Herb Dean called the fight because he noticed how many times it caused Sean to fall down. Herb wouldn’t have stopped that fight right there because Sean was still defending himself. I’m a fan of Chito and Suga but if not for that foot issue O’Malley would’ve won. Even with the injury he still looked better than Chito in that fight and I think he takes the rematch at 299. Now Vera is definitely a monster but idt he can stand up with O’Malley because of the reach advantage and O’Malley uses his kicks and reach very well especially against shorter opponents. But you never know cuz anything can happen and that’s why this is the greatest sport ever!!!

Chito has never lost by T/KO/Sub and has 18 T/KO/Sub W's to 5 decisions. He head kicked Dominic Cruz... I do like the star power Sean brings to the UFC, like him or hate him he brings more eyes onto the sport than Chito. I like the VALUES Chito represents more, so there is that. I think Sean's win vs Petr was married by some cage grabbing and other stuff. I think his W over Aljo was an early stoppage. I do think the leg kick vs Chito was relatively lucky, but I think he does also have some noodle legs compared to others. If Sean wins Saturday and can get it done clean, I will finally give him some credit. But then he will have Cory, which is also a huge problem. I'm not sure on this one. I had Aljo beating him easily last fight. I don't think I'm even gonna make a pick. I'd like to see a clean fight and a decisive victory either way. O’Malley relies too much on the finish.. that shouldn’t be his game plan against someone who has never been finished and can take heavy hits. He did damage to yan (and lost that fight) but it didn’t affect yan. Yan was the aggressor that fight and even when he was getting hit by O’Malley he countered. Imagine if that fight went 5 rounds.
