Jon Jones:
Jonathan Dwight Jones ( born July 19, 1987 ) is an American MMA fighter . He became UFC light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) for the second time in December 2018 . Jones continued to win even after the disqualification against Hamill. After victories over Brandon Vera, Vladimir Matyushenko and Ryan Bader, he took on reigning champion Maurício Rua for the UFC Light Heavyweight title in March 2011 . Jones won the fight by technical knockout in the third round. He went on to defend his title eight times: against Quinton Jackson , Lyoto Machida , Rashad Evans , Vitor Belfort , Chael Sonnen, Alexander Gustafsson , Glover Teixeira and Daniel Cormier† Four of these eight fights lasted the full five rounds. Jones beat his former teammate Evans 49-46, 49-46, 50-45, against Gustafsson 48-47, 48-47, 49-46. Although Gustafsson indicated that he wanted a rematch immediately after the fight, Jones defended his title against Teixeira at UFC 172. He won this match after five rounds on points. Jones' next match would be a rematch against Gustafsson at UFC 178.
Jones defended his title again in July 2019, for the second time in a row and the tenth time in total. He won this time by split decision from Thiago Santos. Jones also won his third consecutive title defense in February 2020. He had to complete the full five rounds again against Dominick Reyes, but this time also had the jury on his side afterwards.
Stipe Miocic:
Stipe Miocic (born August 19, 1982) is an American professional mixed martial artist. He currently competes in the Heavyweight division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he is a former two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion. Miocic is widely regarded by critics, commentators and media as the greatest UFC heavyweight fighter of all time. As of August 9, 2021, he is #2 in the UFC heavyweight rankings, and as of April 18, 2022 he is #12 in the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings.
Having successfully defended his title four times during his two title reigns, he holds the record for most wins in heavyweight title fights along with the longest title defending streak in the heavyweight division, at three consecutive defenses. Miocic holds the record for fight-night bonus awards, with nine, the most in the UFC heavyweight division's history.
Miocic eventually faced Werdum at UFC 198 on May 14, 2016. He caught Werdum with a short right hook counter while backpedaling away from a flurry of punches in the first round, earning the championship and giving Werdum his first defeat since June 2011.
After the Werdum fight he went on defending his belt 3 times before getting stopped by Cormier. They had a trilogy and Miocic came out victorious. Then he fought Ngannou in a rematch and lost. His next fight will likely be against Jones.

Stipe laid on Ngannou mostly and was constantly warned by herb dean to start working or he would stand him up. Ngannou was still able to do an interview after the fight, now was stipe able to do an interview or did he go straight to the ER to be lost for almost 2 years?

However, where Stipe is different is this: Stipe is a true mixed martial artist, and he *always* learns from his mistake. Look at his record, and his past fights, everytime he lost, he always came back better. Beating better and better opponents. And now, look at what he's done to prepare: He's coupled his elite skills with a 30lb increase in muscle. From that perspective, there's never been a more dangerous Stipe

It's all speculation. Both of them are getting "old" (kind of). One thing in my mind is certain, five years ago, Stipe, the one who went through all the HWs, would have annihilated Jon, probably in a round or two. Now that he lost in his skinny form his second fight against Ngannou, that he will be 40 in a month or two, and that Jon was close to losing to Reyes and Santos in LHW, who knows... On his best day no one on their best day would have defeated Stipe. The toughest man to date of all times. Just ahead on Ngannou, who, mind you, does have a chance, with a few more wins, of getting to the top of all times. Perhaps.

That isn’t a solid argument. U said Stipe would beat jones 5 years ago yet Stipe got blasted by DC around 5 years ago and we saw what jon did to DC both times in fights that weren’t as close as any of stipes fights w DC other than the last. Now they r both out of prime but still killers and when that’s the case technique wins therefore jones wins if Gane gets good TDD he shuts jones out due to technique and stamina.. I’m a Stipe fan too so would want to see him win but he has no advantage over Jon.

@@stephenasmith273 Firstly Stipe lost to DC 4 years ago, not 5, a year at that age can make a difference. Secondly, he wasn't blasted, but got caught with a punch he didn't see, based on a flaw in his game noted by DC. Until that moment Stipe was winning the fight. Thirdly, DC is a natural HW and moved to LHW because of not wanting to face his friend Cain, where he was not in his best. Not sure that JJ would beat him in HW. Fourthly, JJ was on steroids, thus No contest. Fifthly, Stipe does have an advantage over JJ certainly in boxing, in toughness and aggression too. Finally, if you do not count a freak loss to Struve, Stipe lost to three HW world champions, all of whom he beat after or before. JJ had a three very close fights with physically smaller fighters, who were never champions, arguably loosing one or two.
