But the way I see things, he's chasing someone's style that's been frozen in time (especially on a fairly short career), which can be done, with an insane amount of work. Been a Hendrix fanatic since 1969. Only a few individuals come close to duplcating the energy-flow and sound produced by Jimi. Stevie Ray Vaughan had the power, fluid dexterity and attack of Hendrix. Randy Hansen has a blend of the power, fluid dexterity, and attack of Hendrix, with one more attribute... Voice! His voice seems to mime Jimi's. No one can "be" Jimi except Jimi. But, both in sound and visually, Randy pulls off a legitimate copy of one of the greatest, most original guitarist and singers in history. Thank you Randy Hansen and Band for giving us the best Jimi Hendrix Experience today! Thanks to ufowalter for posting

I saw Randy play nearly 45 years ago in a small club down by the beach and he blew my young and impressionable mind. Jamming out on the street.... Randy is obviously a brilliant musician in his own right. As a guitar player myself what really strikes me seeing him so many years later is how much mileage Hendrix could get out of one position on the neck, and it never gets boring, and it never seems to repeat itself, even though its repeating itself over and over. Fantastic vibrato, Randy is, was and will be the whole package.

Ty nightngale. Im a bassist that plays multiple guitars as in six strings also. Guitarists are gifted. Think about this: when Randy was working this stuff out with the goal of authentisty, there was no youtube or head phone jacks on most amps nor usb ports. He had to rent a large commercial space some where alone at full Marshal volume then break a band in to get the high volume sound like that. Alot of fckn work just to be half as good as his hero. He's done credit to his aims. Most people who can't play much less at a high level just dont know how much work is involved. Then Play it and sing along as well. Another skill many don't have. Thanks for the support, Robert. I live in germany, but i have some friends in Boston from back in the days, when i worked for Lexicon. Do you know the drummer Frank Sarcia? He´s a cool guy and a great drummer. Oh my - i can´t wait to tour with Randy again.

@@ufowalter Hi Walter, Anytime. Your all amazing players!!! Randy is incredible with the Hendrix stuff! - He's channeling his spirit through him for sure! I am not sure about the drummer Frank. Name doesn't ring a bell to me. I will check with my some of my contacts on the website. When will you guys tour again?! Will you be in the New England area if so? Check out my youtube page if you want to. I started playing guitar a couple of years ago. I'm just a drop in the bucket, but hopefully i'll get there someday LOL!

Here's one of my fondest memories... Johnny Winter was at Parker's night club in Seattle. Al Hendrix " Jimi's dad ", sat at the table next to ours. Johnny played a killer version of Red House , and after the show, Randy and me talked with Al in the lobby. I will never forget the tear Al had in his eye.
