Blessings and peace to you from me in the US. This made me cry and I'm sitting comfortably in my home staying up to date with what's happening/happened in the world. We are all human beings inhabiting the same planet. What so many throughout the world suffer - horribly, horrifically suffer - breaks my heart. I feel so helpless. The only thing I know to do is stay up to date and contribute where I'm able.

The voice of sanity is the man at the end whose face was mutilated saying, "We don't want to punish them. We must forgive them. We just want them to come out of the bush and stop what they are doing." Someone must begin the peace process, and it is often the forgivers.

The interviews with ex-LRA combatants are fantastically revealing. Such a terrible situation and history, but a heroic effort to forgive and move on by the public. One man says that you would not get this anywhere in the world - while I don't believe this is true, there is hope in the fact that in the worst case scenario the solution is simple, and something that every good society has tried to propagate in some form. It's simply a shame that trust and reconciliation is not pushed as viable a solution/policy in other contexts. All it is understanding and accepting - we can do that.

These generals, these aides, of Koney, in amnesty do not appear to have remorse. I can appreciate their candor, but I don't see a change of heart from them. I may be wrong, but it seems they are being coddled, while down the road, children are still being murdered.

People say "fuck Kony" or "kill Kony" but they dont understand. If kony is dead, then someone else will take his place. the ugandan government is the entity that needs to be reformed drastically in order for the LRA as well as the other guerrilla forces to be finally stopped as well. Give the people a government which they are free, then the guerrillas will die out by themselves, and the violence can stop.

Namely the US are basing military forces at Entebbe airport to use as a staging base and since '09 against the LRA operationally. It is one of the few pro western friendly countries in a strategic location. As far as weapons go, most are paid by western taxes. The UPDF use soviet block/regional hardware. Having said that now days the LRA are useless.

This is an example of how powerful the principles of the holy Book are when put to use. Evil is happening everywhere. Visit any UK prison or detention centres and see how many "illegal immigrants" have been separated from thier own babies/children and placed in foster homes. Go to any prison visits and hear/ see the agonising cries of the children as their parents are led back into their cells after the visits. Some of these kids are adopted away. Lets pray for God's kingdom to come...He is the only one who can ever wipe away our tears.

We can't ignore the brutality of the LRA (or any other body employing similar tactics), but what I see as being equally, if not more shocking is the unscrupulous dealings of companies supplying such groups with weaponry. The simple truth is that you need an arms supplier to keep an army going; and to think that dealers profit from the death and heinous mistreatment of others is enough to make one lose faith in humanity. Human nature i guess.

Many of them are kind people, but having rich natural resources causes the sad humankind greed to hurt a lot of people. And by greed I mean reach countries such as Western European and North American ones, not to mention the new comer Communist China who is now basically buying governments and countries with huge loans, interests and huge costly projects which cause the poor countries to become deeply in debt and thus completely at the mercy of the communists

I think it's good that they are given amnesty and that they are forgiven. As far as Kony is concerned he needs to be in an institution, locked up in a room by himself. He's crazy. Anyone who thinks that the spirits are talking to him is mentally ill. He thinks that he is living by the 10 commandments yet he is sinning constantly. You shall not murder, commit adultery you shall not steal to name a few. I also think that since he believes that he cannot die someone should put him to the test.

If you believe forgiveness and imprisonment will solve it you're fucking wrong, blinded the the mercies of your Christ.
