Cameron Niemela do you make a living out of this?
@freebannerchannel16257 жыл бұрын
You should create a section on your website for broken or bent parts, so that instead of parts being binned just sell them cheaper, cause bent handle bars is better then no handle bars

Cameron, for you and your readers. There's a company out in Oregon..Muzzy Weld (I think) that sells aluminum rods that work extremely well with a gas torch for any thing like fork tubes as well as frames. I had an older KTM that I bought used with a cracked axle slot on one of the tubes and still working!

Love the vids cameron! Everything is so in depth and not to long of a drag on one subject like some KZbinrs! Been subscribed since the bbr crf 50! What kind of solvent do you use? Looks like it works pretty damn good!

Thanks man! It's a general cleaning solvent from a local chemical store.

Hay if your gonna try to weld the aluminum, clean it if it is not clean all ready, then bake it in the oven to get all the oil out of the small pores in the aluminum. I think argon welding would work well because it will majorly reduce the oxidation when welding two parts together.
@RidingwithDylan5 жыл бұрын
Hey Man It would be cool to know how that piece was fixed or welded, I have successfully welded pieced on my Cr 125 with a 4043 series aluminum on a MIG Fronius, Am not sure what the factor uses it would be nice to know what other welders out there are doing on their bikes!

The best thing for cleaning off glue or anything heavy such as silicone is paint stripper. Providing the part you are cleaning won't get damaged by it.

any advice on starting a business to sustain myself? IIRC you sell motorcycle parts online. I do not have an interest in selling motorcycle parts, rather on refurbishing sofas, chairs, furniture and small goods. How did you get the client base and how did you grow?Just on the surface it seems difficult to get a supplier or source of the goods and know that you can get some good materials to refurbish and turn a profit. The even harder part is to make a site that people will go and trust. Appreciate any help! Not many people do this line of work though it is very lucrative.

Emils Kalnins grips are cheap you can get some for 5 bucks its not worth his time to peel them carefully off and then post them and ship them. Its also not worth the buyers time trying to squeeze on used grips imho. Every bike i get i put a new bar pad and grips

An idea for your give away prizes for overseas viewers. I know it costs too much to post overseas, so instead write the overseas winners name on the part and hang it on a winners wall in your workshop. Give it a quick shout out in your video or instagram a/c. It wouldn't cost anything and i'd be happy with something like that if i won. Just an idea from me, an overseas subscriber and regular viewer. Keep up the good work!👍
