I highly resonate with your anecdote about people being rude and some other entity suddenly "taking over your" body. Recently, me and my team had to present our first engineering project (I'm an undergrad) in from of a few judges (basically some members from my uni's engineering faculty) Which weren't that "polite" with their questions towards us, I was aware that it was the intention to get critisised in that situation and I was even expecting it some shape or form, but wehn it actually happend I was shocked, I had to explain the part of the coding for which I was responsable, I got questioned pretty hard on working, legitemacy, plagarism,... but somehow I managed to flawlessly answer them all and defend myself, after the whole thing I questioned if it was me who was answering the questions, because it didn't feel like it truely could've been me
