Same, first time to hear this one in a few months and I almost feel high just soaking in it. Nothing like the MM experience. Found them when my ex wife and i were first starting to drift apart.. even though the ship sank, we knew we cant let go... prolonging the pain really. Closest band to affect me like this band would be Cursive, The Ugly Organ and earlier. Got a little too Poppy after that.

I was 15, now I'm 18 (not quite the same time difference), but the first time I truly got to chill out with my long distance girlfriend in person is what this song reminds me of. My best friend passed away a few months ago as well. So, it's been kind of weird, a little lonely, and this song brings a sensation of looking at how significant my experiences have been, almost connecting the dots. The "we're in this together" sort of feel of the song kind of makes me understand myself a bit better.

Brandi Asay yeah it takes me back to when I was a teenager. That's when fist listen to this album I'm 26 now. Most of his lyrics I don't really understand but I relate to the sad vibe. it's cool that I now can try to see his perspective and what he's expressing. What's you're interpretation or what does it mean to you?

Agreed; that line alone makes this song.. It's incredible how powerful that little lyrical snippet is alone. It's a real shame that most people don't think or feel deeply enough to appreciate this music, with all the trashy pop music out there soaring to huge commercial success. It's that contemplative, reflective, melancholic, dreamy, abstract, nostalgic part of the soul that Isaac's early, melodic, experimental stuff embodies to perfection.. Music for the philosophical connoisseur. 😎
@stephaniebrown430

@@athadrianorder1847 God, yes. Isaac's lyrics bring me to my knees sometimes. They can be so powerful and heartbreaking (especially that line) and simple all at the same time. I just don't understand how people can't see that. He's truly one of the most underrated musicians of all time.

Damn literally just got shown Dream by Alan Watts and he really has a very positive perspective of existence to show people.. dissecting what he meant in Dream was really funny because I was texting my friend about how I didn’t get the aspect of us being god and literally as I was typing it, it fucking clicked and literally didn’t delete what I said I just said wait it just clicked and was like oh he’s fucking telling us we are basically god in our own worlds of perspective which is fucking accurate to me.. Reading through these lyrics in reflection to a a very dark time in my life a year or so ago... I had posted this song on my IG post with no conscious awareness of How this song was speaking my reality loudly. the sad sad irony to why I cried for two hours that day with no understanding to why (at that time)... the trauma in my body was clearly trying to tell my mind something that day.. I was in complete denial of the emotional and psychological abuse I had endured.
