avoid hate watching, engaging in media ‘slop’ content that is mind numbing, rage baiting, and watching content that doesn’t add value to one’s life. Time is valuable and our bodies are temples. Practicing mindfulness by choosing to fill ourselves with beauty from within, your mind, memory, thoughts and inner world then reflects the beauty from without. We become what we’re engage and surround ourselves with.

@@alrighttumbleweed4782 don’t know if OP is ever going to reply to you. But I think general rules are: when you buy a piece of clothing, intentionally buy it a little too large for you. Buy it to comfortably fit your LARGEST body part, like your hips, or your bust or wide shoulders (depends on your specific body). Only buy items that are long enough already, NEVER buy anything that is too short for you in any way. THEN, you can bring the item to a tailor. They will bring the item in to accurately and comfortably fit the contours of your body in a way that looks nice.

"If we watch enough of these movies we start to think that that this is the standard for what we should be consuming in media" is so true especially when people comment (reply on social media posts, make videos and post them, or just talk about in conversation) things along the lines of "it's not that deep" or "you're/it's doing too much" about anything with actual merit, substance, effort, and so on. And it is especially discouraging to see that people think that way as someone who admires cinema (and literature, music) greatly

okay so as a disabled / chronically ill person and had trouble with having the ability to wash my hair for myself. my little sister did it for me for so long , I had to learn tips and tricks to take care of my hygiene when she wasn’t around. Keeping dry shampoo, hair and body perfume by my bed so that even if I was unable to move out of my bed that day. I could still sit there in my pain and still have a beautiful smell around me. It eased my mind so much , I wear it all the time. I got into perfume for this reason. It’s almost spiritual for me now. makes me feel like a person and more than a person. and oh goodness as a southerner bad manners , is the most disgusting thing to me. dignity, integrity, respect are the most beautiful things in life. it also shows compassion and tenderness as well.

The sad thing is that Hollywood isn't running out of ideas...theres plenty of incredible stories/scripts/talent out there that is sitting on a dusty shelf and will never see the light of day because the people at the top don't want to take risks anymore (or said creator isn't in bed with the right people.) So we keep getting these remakes/sequels/prequels; overblown, underperformed, poorly written, nepo-baby starring/created, ugly and uncanny that make their money they wanted (or flop) and fizzle out like a cheap firework, never to be spoken of again. And then two decades go by, and they repeat the process. And the general public seems to be okay with this.

I am so happy to have found your channel. I rant to my husband for HOURS (poor guy lol) about how society is slowly decaying before our eyes because of the ugliness and laziness that has become normalized in people, buildings, media, art, etc. I thought maybe I was nuts, because I had yet to meet anyone else who could see it, or felt as strongly about it as I do about beauty. Pragmatic comment: I use the 7% glycolic acid solution by the ordinary in lieu of deodorant. I love smelling pleasant via perfume, hair care, essential oils, etc, but I have never been a fan of any deodorant fragrance at all. I'm also not a fan of white streaks etc on my clothing. The glycolic acid exfoliates all dead skin and leaves nothing for bacteria to eat. I have converted many people onto this method and swear by it. I decant it into a nice spray bottle for ease of application. I haven't used deodorant in years, can dance all night and there is no smell whatsoever other than what I choose to apply upon my person. In fact, no matter what I do, even camping for days on end without a shower, so long as I have a small spritz of the AHA solution, I *never* smell of BO. Ever.

I still have a few packs of the matches but you’ve reminded me of how much more I liked them compared to lighters. I love the smell of the sulfur when I spark the match. I also love watching the match burn like u said. I had a pretty clear glass bowl that I would put all things that can be burned (ends of the incent, burnt matches, ashing my weed bowl into it, paper, old candles, and cardboard) When it got too full I would burn it in the fire place or outside. Hello, I just want to say up front that you are lovely and I appreciate your philosophy on beauty and what you're trying to do with it. I just wanted to comment on the topic of smell from the perspective of someone who's chemosensitive and 100% reliant on natural ingredients and self made products for hygiene needs, relative to the spiritual connotations of the "perfume" of a person. Perfume is not in that sense something that's additive to the body which one applies. It can't be bottled and bought or feigned. It exudes from the body like the smell of a rose and is a consequence of our health, lifestyle, and the indwelling spirit of life. I can give you the example of rice, in terms of that which ferments becomes sweet, but that which only decays becomes sour and foul. Many people who live out of balance with nature and their own duty to themselves, become foul, and rely on chemicals to compensate. Most of us are taught that our natural perfume is ugly, and are taught to hide it from the world. You can no more hide a bad natural smell under a perfume than you can hide a pimple under makeup, without piling it on. Unlike makeup, it's not only your skin, but others olfactory senses that are blanketed. The smell of a holy person, being true and from within, has no fear or shame in it. In the time of the Egyptians, and ancient Greece, they were sweaty, didn't have bathing as we do, or dentistry, they had bare feet etc... they were smelly and needed those oils. Today with what we know about hygiene and have available in terms of making things like soaps and creams, or our own shampoo and conditioning rinse, with natural products as close to nature as possible... we don't need perfumes. If you wear something out of a bottle it doesn't speak to your soul, only to your dreams, formulated by someone else. Our true natural perfume, a mirror of our health inside and out, can become the description of who we are instead of some lifestyle brand that for me, as a chemosensitive, would make it so that I could never even be in or appreciate your presence IRL, even passing on the street. Our natural perfume is beauty from within. Bottle perfume, is someone else's dream. Monks and holy people are often isolated and make their own products like soap, use herbs for cleaning their hair and bodies. This adds to their natural perfume, and they become a part of nature. In my experience I have never appreciated the beauty of a person any more because someone left a cloud of bottled perfume smell in the room. The leftover residue in the air is called silage. Silage is dreadful for indoor air quality in particular. You are awesome, I would love to see you consider embracing nature and the holy spirit in your pursuit of beauty as a religion.

JOOP is my favorite fragrance. It is widely available, quality, is not expensive. It is found at Walgreens, Walmart, and any department store. It smells good, the fragrance lasts all day, and only about fifty dollars.

Noise pollution, aka man-made noises, particularly leaf blowers and back-up beeping. I could listen to a bird chirping all day and night or the rain, wind and thunder, etc. Also, why does there need to be a led light on literally everything electronic these days?! I know my tv is on without a little red light telling me so. Utterly excessive and ugly! Guess this falls under light pollution, for me. I’ll sop here. 😉 Thank you for your content, keep up the good work! I wish had used my wisdom as well as you do when I was your age. 🌈💫

My house is downright ugly, I could just burn it down, but jail is uglier than my house so 🤷🏼‍♀️ Edit: My sentence was misconstrued so it was ugly and I fixed it… js

It’s interesting that you bring up chopsticks …. Because that makes me think of a line from my favorite Doris Day movie April in Paris , she plays an American show girl being sent to France as part of a cultural exchange in a scene when they are trying to teach her how to act around civilized people and which utensil to use while at a formal diner “ the soup spoon is a section of a sphere while the desert spoon is an ellipse “ 😊 Anyway a formal place setting 🍽️ way more elegance than chopsticks 🥢 but nowadays Americans eat with sporks

Imo ugliness is a symptom of society decline, people dress like npcs. I keep telling my patients that ugly clothes and dressing all black and grey doesn't help their mental health, I give them the example of 50s and 60s and we were very poor country and people had 1-2 set of clothes well made and that enhanced their image. It costs the same to buy colourful clothes. Most of population forgot the power of presence and image (imo this is social engineering). I've also noticed that people stopped using plants inside the house and you rarely see any more balconies with flowers. It is all dull and grey...

I would like to ask you something, from an artist to another, if you don’t mind. Do/ can you create every day? I am a novelist, but most days I don’t feel inspired or motivated to write my book, perhaps because i care deeply about it. Do you think one should create every day for a better craft or not necessarily? Any thoughts to guide me? Thank you

I find matches better in the wind coz the initial strike is a flare and while the fire is in that initial flare the wind cant blow it out - and even once the flame settles its still pretty good. i find it so hard to even get a lighter going in the wind

You are spot on when it comes to remakes, especially Disney live action movies. We are all getting sick of it, and I refuse to watch any more. The new Snow White looks like absolute garbage and insults the original. Also I loved Anora, it was one of the better films that have come out in a while!
